I have watched you find the places hidden by the snow
I have tripped into a valley that is blue till you can see
I want you to come walk this world with me
(CHORUS)
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see
Holding on and on 'til we believe
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see
I'm not touched but I'm aching to be
I want you to come walk this world with me
And I'm sucked in by the wonder and I'm fucked up by the lies
And I dig a hole to climb in and I build some wings to fly
And I think that I could love you 'cause you know how to be free
I want you to come walk this world with me
(CHORUS)
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see
Holding on and on 'til we believe
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see
I'm not touched but I'm aching to be
I want you to come, I want you to come
I want you to come walk this world with me
And it's burning in our fingers and it's burning on the road
And I like the way you're broken and I'll like you when you old
And I see you in the garden and I feel you plant the seeds
I want you to come walk this world with me
(CHORUS)
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see
Holding on and on 'til we believe
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see
I'm not touched but I'm aching to be
I want you to come, I want you to come
I want you to come walk this world with me
"And I'm sucked in by the wonder and I'm fucked up by the lies."
Amen.
Sounds like trump and his minons
well. that is more 'aquamarine' than heather, which is kinda purpleā¦
this one could be retired forever and i wouldn't mind.
Its annoyingly terrible
Amen.

Supernova?
.

she really puts the emphasis on come

I want you to, play 'Come together' next.
I was not referring to the word "libido", I was referring to the simile "like a firehose", which would have more of a male connotation.
Cheers.
Curious choice of simile to describe a song by a female recording artist, but still, your point is clear.
https://www.dictionary.com/browse/libido it goes both ways, not just a male thing.

I was thinking the same thing. But I know I'm a perv, I'm just wondering if she is too!
I think she just likes ... long walks ... in the garden, and she seems to want "you" to come with her. Right? Seems straightforward to me.
yes, and also yes.

Maybe both? ;)
Also I have to say romeotuma that there are many ways in which it could be suggested that the video you posted has very little to do with the music and is just an opportunity to stare at lingerie models for a few minutes...not that i'm complaining at having giving it a go.

Doesn't do anything for me ... she is trying to use provocative language to catch attention ... which when done right is smart and clever as anything ( Wynona Big Brown Beaver) for example, however the pause after "I want to come" ... it seems so freaking obvious
Maybe I am jaded - to each his / her own ... I personally will pass on this
Couldn't disagree more!
Yeah, the double entendres pretty much bowl you over, and I won't deny the obvious - that Heather was being deliberately provocative - but the power of the melody, and the palpable elation of embarking on a spiritual expedition on the Silk Road with someone who ignites your senses, are intoxicating!

I don't get too distracted by the "risqué" lyrics... obviously, she was having some fun with this... when you write your own songs, and they're good, you're entitled to some slack - it's called "poetic license"!
But there is some deeper stuff here, too:
And I dig a hole to lie in and I build some wings to fly
And I think that I could love you 'cause you know how to be free
I want you to come walk this world with me.
It's a fubar world, hopelessly distorted by lies. I suppose it has probably always been that way. If you toss out the baby with the bath water, you miss that part of what she is saying... especially the part about "I'm sucked in by the wonder and... I build some wings to fly".
But you're right... "to each his/her own"...

I watch you plant the seed
I want you to COME
I want you to COME
I want you to COME Doesn't get much more blatant than that.
Once during the time when this was being overplayed on the alt-whatever station, after it ended the (female) dj said with a smirk you could hear over the waves, "Demanding, isn't she?" Just the way she said it cracked me up.
Maybe because her mother told her so?
"she told me to come but I was already there"
Maybe she could help Norah Jones? She doesn't know why she didn't come. Now that I think about it, those 2 together would make a great "duet".
Maybe something real like Lucinda
