We don't care for what they say, that's my superpower
We don't care for what they say
Bet you never seen a young black woman so fly
Sim-Simma's arrived, got the heart of a lion, my Nigerian pride
Everybody scatter, scatter, they say that the task force is waitin' for me outside
Yo, is you really down for the ride? If I get cuffed, know I dedicated my life
Gun fire, ra-ta-ta-ta, if it gets to kickin' off, will you go dey my?
Will you go dey my side? Give me stainless gold
Think it's the time to finally take my throne
Forget that lane, true, I made my own
I got the power in me, not afraid no more
Is the world gonna keep up?
Clear to see they can't do what she does
Come on, follow the leader
Can't deny the truth we givin' to you through your speaker
Ooh, don't break your neck
Lookin' for somethin' like this
You will never find somethin' like this
The way I skill them, they gon' give me life sentence
Ooh, don't break your neck
Huh, huh, don't break your neck
Lookin' for somethin' like this
And you will never find somethin' like this
Understand I'm Lauryn in her prime, when you see me
The Ras with me, see the locs dem swingin'
I roll up in this bitch, lookin' Nefertiti
Better kiss the ring when you see me
I ain't even scraped the surface from the power that's within me
Couldn't get here without us puttin' up a good fight
This shit is never what is seems, look at them like, "What do you mean, nigga?"
We just had a dream and a push-bike
Mama said that it will happen in good time
I was strugglin' to run it on my last legs, said I'll never quit until I take my last breath
I was down on my luck, past tense
Now it's champagne reception, smart dress
Outta my hands, it's God's plan
And with these blessings, I try to bless who I can, go
Ooh, don't break your neck
Lookin' for somethin' like this
You will never find somethin' like this
The way I skill them, they gon' give me life sentence
Ooh, don't break your neck
Huh, huh, don't break your neck
Lookin' for somethin' like this (ooh)

I don't care what she says - that's my superpower! I'll give it a 2.
This has Silk Sonic 777 vibes.
Nice!
I disliked Rap music for the first 2 decades after it first made the airwaves - coarse language,  glorified gang violence, and misogynistic poetry with a drum machine in the background was how I characterized it.  A fad that would soon pass, since it had no real musical merit.
Then. . . my opinion gradually changed, partially because many rap artists were teaming with vocalists that sang beautiful harmonies as a chorus, and I discovered that many of the lyrics were calling for political and cultural change.
Rap music is still not at the top of my personal genre preference ratings list, BUT it is on it.  So, I like this song, and don't believe it warrants the low ratings of the listeners who gave it a "1".

I wonder if my parents felt the same way about Rock 'n Roll when I was growing up in the '60's.  Methinks they would have benefited from a radio station like RP.
Sure. Why not..?
Thanks to Radio Paradise for introducing me to Little Simz :-) Introvert became one of my albums of 2025 (I was only 5 years late to the party!) after hearing tracks on here.
I don't get the hate here by givin' this an average of 4.4 .. I personally think, Little Simz has stronger songs but her talent and overall remarkable flow  is clearly palpable and indisputable to me in all of her music. Also, the lick is great!
Wow.   She must either:  have 50 albums or has paid payola to RP to justify so many mediocre songs being played in heavy rotation.

Something  ain't right. Something is going on.
Really nice groove on this.
Sorry, just not digging the addition of Little Sims to the rotation. A rapper needs a charismatic voice. Chuck D, Eminem, the Beasties. Sims is flat & coarse.
Needs more cowbell.
