Língua linguado linguiça, ai que preguiça
A boca precisa justiça, ah, meus pais na suíça
Ah, de novo uma nova lingua, ah
Je ne sais pas, ah je suis, je suis Sophie
Un deux trois, nein danke, ja bitte
Aber kannst du come with me?

You, hey
I see you tryna climb in my sunroof, hey
I guess it's a good thing I'm waterproof, hey
I'm gonna make you
I'll make you woof, hey
I'll make you woof
Woof

All aboard
Time for the bad bitch check in
Un deux trois quatre
That's how many I'll let in
Soph take the aux
While Tuck do the driving
I'll be in the back while I do the riding

Mo fe se nkan buru si e
I spent the summer locked down, so I'm juicy, yeah
Now I glow head to toe
And I know you know
That I like to be on top and in control

You, hey
I see you tryna climb in my sunroof, hey
I guess it's a good thing I'm waterproof, hey
I'm gonna make you
I'll make you woof, hey
I'll make you woof
Woof

I guess I could put you on my to-do list
You and you and you
On my to-do list
You and maybe you
On my to-do list
I guess I could put you on my to-do list

Why don't you
Put me right on top
Of your to-do
Don't need the alphabet to
Say I want you
Don't need much just want to hear you woof

I'll make you woof
Woof
Woof

Vai rebolando no chão

[Wikipedia:] Sophie Hawley-Weld was born in Frankfurt, Germany, but grew up in rural Canada and Atlanta. She then attended United World College of the Adriatic, a UWC in Duino, Italy. While in college Hawley-Weld studied Portuguese; her love for Brazilian culture and the Portuguese language inspired a move to Brazil afterwards, to further learn the language and collaborate with local poets and artists.

Indeed; I'd say she's doing a fair job of creatively "appropriating" multiple cultures!

Being multi-lingual is not a crime.
its weird

its funky

get your ya ya's out!

This is literally cultural appropriation.

OK, I'll bite. How is this cultural appropriation?
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!
Has quite a european touch to it, if I'm allowed to be so bold.

And keeps growing. I think every time I've heard this song, it has gone up a point.
I am so loving this!  Infectious dance energy, and then to put an exclamation point on it, William follows it up with the Talking Heads'  “Cross-Eyed and Painless !“  FUN!

Ya gotta follow up with Who let the dogs out? Just once… 😂

Saw them live at Forest Hills not too long ago. Such a fun, booty-shakin' band.

Seems to be a favorite of William's due presumably to the liberal use of Brazilian Portuguese in the lyrics but can't imagine most old-school rockers getting too deep into this kind of music.

Oh, but we do, we really do! ;-)

I'm not sure if I agree with you on that, but even if it is, it's definitely not a bad thing.  They are based in the US, and if you're not American you might not realize it, but "cultural appropriation" is kind of our thing.  There's a reason we're known as the melting pot, after all.
This has me stank face chair dancing
This is kinda kooky. I like it!

You may be wrong in that. I like old school rock. I also like fun stuff that reminds me to dance and woof.
Was surprised when I heard German in there.
