There's a little house on the outskirts of town
Tilted in a vow of dissonance
You better walk behind me, walk behind me again
How many times have we burnt it all down?
Plumes of smoke, call it graveyard love
Walk behind me, walk these hallways again

The greatest illusion in the X-ray wind
Will take in my ruin, I keep clear of the windows
And I can't return, return to you
It's just the fear
Is this just the fear of not knowin' if you're there?
If you're there

Could never fathom how to wake you up
Crushed by the weight of your crucible
You better walk behind me, walk behind
And on the day that you wiped it all clean
Lost in a whisper, did you say
"I'll never walk behind you, walk behind you, again"

The greatest illusion in the X-ray wind
Will take in my ruin, I keep clear of the windows
And I can't return, return to you
It's just the fear
Is this just the fear of not knowin' that you're there?
That you're there

I don't want to remember why
I don't want to remember why
I don't want to remember
I don't want to remember why

just as annoying as some whining guy I used to know..
The Mars Volta rarely grabs you at first listen, it's only after a few listens that you start to appreciate it. But I think those are often the best bands/songs; ones you love instantly, you tire of quicker.
Every time this comes on I have to look. Every time. Amazing.

Always liked The Mars Volta, but couldn't always fit them into a daily listen. This definitely solves that perceived problem.

Singer reminds me of Disembaudio from Rifftrax (Mystery Science Theater 3000).
I see there are a couple RHCP members on the band's list of members.
Can see why it would be hard to keep a group of this size together long term.

I like this one.  7
wow ..,quite genre mixture,really interesting.
I revere their album Deloused in the Comatorium so I'm delighted to see they are working again.  This sounds pretty good to my ears.
