Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away

But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night

Because I'm still in love with you
I wanna see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon

When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart

But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye

Because I'm still in love with you
I wanna see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon

It would be an amazing song and performance but it is spoilt by the fact that the original is better
Well, that was absolutely beautiful. Always enjoyable when a cover is a unique version but also finds a way to still honor the OG - I'm looking at you, Weezer ('Africa', why cover it to make it sound JUST like the original?)
Slow as molasses but with her sultry voice, who cares?
Is that the definition of beauty, or what?!

Have to respectively disagree about the song, I'm a huge CW fan, but I agree that the amount of covers on RP is a bit on the high side recently.

OMG - I must be missing something - the number of possitive comments about this cover!!  This is one of Neil Young's finest love songs - and this version just doesn't work for me!  He's a really difficult artist to cover well - KD Lang does it well!  so a big
Holy smokes did this one make the hairs stand up. Hauntingly beautiful. Thanks RP!

Also hear this flowing into "A Song for Our Granfathers" by Future Islands very nicely.
Bought this album/CD when it was first released. Still a favorite, Heard her perform in a small Chicago club in the mid  '90s. Excellent show. Also, her recording, Traveling Miles, is well worth a listen for those who are interested.
One of my favorites. On a good stereo this sounds amazing. There is a deep bass playing in the background, the sound of the crickets and peepers, wonderful images in sound.
Driving in a car on any road through the endless woods of Vermont at night, I heard this wonderful cover of neil young´s song for the first time. This one is for you, Inji - wherever you may be now... you felt so unnatural close back then

Bill. please play the Mavericks' cover of this.
Nice; can imagine lying under a harvest moon listening to this version
I've rather overplayed the original of this so it's interesting to hear this interpretation.
Incredible album! Great to hear something from it here on RP. There are a couple of other worthy tracks from it ready for RP too.

I'm with you Joe - superb!
way to take a slow song and make it slower
What? Am I the only person that likes this?  ...eh?
SUPERB!!  Thanx RP!
