Listen to Doug Ashdown's Winter in America (is cold)
Gets me all weepy and nostalgic for the good old daze at the Main Point.

Tom Rush, a New Hampshire treasure!

I always enjoyed this melancholy change of season version by Tom Rush. Always in the fall. When it came up today (June 26) my first reaction was something to the effect why are they playing it now so early in summer?. But then felt it to be a reminder not take things for granted and enjoy every sweet day this season brings (we live in cold climate Vermont)), for it will not last….

There’s an obscure but lovely song. This does invoke a bit of that for sure. Thanks for the reminder, gonna have to pull up ‘Winter In America’ now.

They played Joni Mitchell right after Tom Rush. Nice!
A gorgeous rendering of Joni Mitchell's composition.
I really wish Radio Paradise would include the author of the lyrics; can't be too much work.

GREAT!! ICONIC!!

He is still performing. Wow.
What a trailblazer - kind of a shame he's not better-known.

I thought about this song today, a cold mid November day on the East Coast- and here it is!

Maybe say thanks to Auntie Marge for buying the first guitar too!

One of my favorite artists and songs of the 60's. NICE to hear again. Thanks!
How this brings back the best of memories. It is grand to hear his voice again.
Quite a nice rendition of, I believe, a Joni Mitchell song.
