End of October
Sun's fallen over
Wolves on the street
Wolves on the street
Roaming
Howling
Smoke in the distance
Strangers are calling
Paid for your time
Paid for your time, boy
Hold on
Hold on
He's not underground
He's not in the air
He's not in that book
You take everywhere
The Devil wears a suit
He lives in no town
He lives on no street
In your home, in your bed
Unto the bride, one
Unto the trooper
Where did you go?
Where have you been, son?
Nowhere
With no one
Talking in circles
Point of confusion
Who needs a hug?
Who needs a hug, then?
You do
You do
He's not underground
He's not in the air
He's not in that book
You take everywhere
The Devil wears a suit
He lives in no town

In your home, in your home
In your bed
House of your friendly
Local accomplice
Shoes at the door
Shoes at the door, please

Secrets
Out in the garden
Under the elk weed
Ribs in the dirt
Ribs in a dirt heap
Silence

Definitely a good Celtic flavour and with a good deal of originality, but I'm distracted by her breathing, which is odd for someone who's 'classically trained'.
The Devil wears a suit? And here I thought she wore Prada...
Beautiful song with images of the Emerald Isle☘️
There was a time in my twenties when I played quite a bit of old-time/Appalachia and bluegrass with friends at home, in bars and in the Boston Subway stations with one particularly good friend and great fiddle player. As I listened to this, the guitar picking somehow reminded me of that. After reading the comments (for better or worse) about the Irish influence, I did a quick bit of google research to confirm that there was indeed a large emigration from Ireland and Scotland to Appalachia in the late 1600's. I'm now 67 years old but sometimes putting 2+2 together still puts a grin on my face even if I am a bit late to the party.
living in a tale
Makes me dearly miss Meredith from Gladstone, OZ, surely the best all-night party drinking, dancing, and esperiencing Life partner ever!

I'm only 1/8th Irish meself, but it always makes me laugh when Bill says 'Hope you're enjoying the music micks'

Btw the rhythm backing to 'The Devil Wears A Suit' is clearly derived from a different side of the 'world'.
Finding that its of Australian origin makes perfect sense.

The guitar line borrows from the Irish fiddle tune "Swallowtail Jig" at times. One of my favourite fiddle tunes to play on violin!

For a country that started out as a British penal colony, Australia has certainly blessed the world with a great many talented musical artists. I'm waiting for Bill to toss Tash Sultana into the mix. I think RP listeners would love her - very talented, and definitely not seeking to become a radio pop star.

This is a good song, and I don't like it. The vocalist's voice literally gives me a headache. I'm not going to rate it though. I think the world would be a better place if people realized "Not my cup of tea" does NOT equal bad tea.

Good song, it requires specific mood, but it doesn't make it bad.
The epitome of "14-year-old girl's diary." And she's Australian, so I can't give her a pass for the lyrics.

Hm. I think I like this, but I'm not quite sure. I agree with the person who brought up Loreena McKennit, and it's possible I may have overdosed on Celtic vibes. But clearly, I looked up the song, so it must have an impact. :) Plus, splendid song title.
I first came across KMH here in brizvegas at the "Pig City" concert at UQ in 2006. I wasn't that pressed because she fronted a tribute to the Go-Betweens. I think that her original stuff was far better
If she keeps doing that with her voice,
it just might get stuck that way.

Brilliant, characteristics of The Do! https://thedomusic.com/

Dark content, cool hybrid of styles... new fan here!
When you hear a song start and think I love this song and I'm so glad it came on I guess its 10 not 9. Like it more each time. I'd like to say it's cause I'm a lover not a hater but actually the truth is I'm a lover and a hater but struggle to find the middle ground.

Yeah, getting quite a bit of airplay, but I'm not complaining...yet! Still an 8 for me.
Thanks again RP for introducing to me yet another great new artist. CD purchased!
I am reminded of a Loreena McKennit that tries to be Tori Amos. Definitely two female artists with a large potential to annoy people.
