Hey girl, got no regrets. That might have been the best love yet.
Its a Goodbye world. Just passing through it.
And don't worry I'll be alright. I'm out of the dark and into the light.
It's a Goodbye world. Just passing through it.
Don't cry, just because you're leaving, its alright.
It's a Goodbye World.
Theres highways and exit signs, and three hour wait at the borderline
Goodbye World. Just passing through it.
I take a bus, hop a train, a rocket ship, it's all the same
It's a Goodbye world, just passing through it.
Don't cry, just because you're leaving, it's alright.
It's a Goodbye World
It's a Goodbye World
Hello, Goodbye, sea, sky falling
Hurray today is the day I comprehend
That all this stuff, this stuff is temporary.
Just here and gone in a Goodbye World.
Little slap, a baby cries, eighty years later somebody dies.
Its a Goodbye World. Just passing through it.
Its a Goodbye World. I always knew it.
Its a Goodbye World. Just passing through it.
Don't cry just because you're leaving, it's alright.
It's a Goodbye World.

It's been a few years .... how did it work out?
Any communication? email, video ... or just silence?
At this point the evidence is that This is It (as MJ's creepy finale indicated) and your suicidal friend was deluded.

Beautiful and meaningful song. My cousin (as well as my best friend) committed suicide many years ago. One of the things I remember him telling me was that this life is just one part of life, that our earthly existence is just one stop in our journey, and that much remains after we pass through this phase. It didn't make much sense when I was younger, but now I kind of get it. Gives me comfort now that he is gone.

My father's mother killed herself when he was 14. Something stopped and he grieved for a lifetime. Advice; think about the wreckage you will leave behind.
What a beautiful song, such a powerful message of sadness and hope. I have included this in my acoustic set and always get a strong response. It evokes a lot of emotion.
Sounds like Ryan Adams younger brother

Thanks for sharing....similar feelings when my step-bro took his life way back in 1997 (or 98?) - see...the years go by, some of the memories fade...yet something still hangs on....and the learning and growing continues too....this one's an 8 and almost a 9 for me...Long Live RP!!

Reed Foehl is (was) the singer of Acoustic Junction
Really quite special.
First time I've heard this song and not familiar with artist. Thank you RP.

Why do I like this song so much? It tells me to stop pining and crying
Beautiful
After the last few songs I was starting to wonder if I had gone off sad songs altogether and was halfway into recalibrating my life for the umpteenth time when this song came on, and I thought, just a minute, this is awesome. AND it is a sad song.
I still don't know why some sad songs are just downright annoying or depressing, and others are really beautiful. Guess it is a question of talent, or something. Finding just the right note. This guy does it. For me at least.

Nice stuff
Good tune.
Exactly what I thought!

what a beautiful voice - like the lyrics too, I wouldn't mind this as an epitaph (not ready yet though)
something about it reminded me of a loggins & messina tune...

Can't place the song, but the melody and tempo of the singing reminds me of a tune from the 70's sung by a female singer. Vague I know, but wanted to put it out there in case someone else thought the same.

wow...what a song.
Beautiful song
It's great to hear Reed on RP!!! Annieb63: Yes, he has a brother Stewart Lewis, (they started Acoustic Junction together) they are actually playing a show together at Club Passim in Cambridge end of April 28.
Never heard of him or this until now - thumbs up! A bit melancholy, but a lot of moving and great music just is!
Wow. I remember Acoustic Junction from 20+ years ago. Nice to know he's still creating music. I believe he has a brother too?
Yep, this would be a good suicide song, particularly after Radiohead and Thom "Mr Cheerful" Yorke's warblings.
My favorite song today. Great!
What's not to like here. Great voice, nice chords, great guitar work, good harmonies, decent production and really nice artwork. Gee...the whole thing is there. Smiles.
nice
Ryan Adams....me too!....I like it!
Definitely like this guy...
Well, That was nice.
Nice.
Who is this and why is he making me cry? 8
Ha, I also thought it was Ryan Adams as well.
I actually own Reed's previous CD 'Stoned Beautiful' and every time I play it someone always asks who it is and comments
how much they like it...

I just checked to see if this was from the new Ryan Adams CD (which I just bought but haven't listened to yet). I like Ryan Adams so I guess I like this as well.
Great voice—eminently listenable.
Chorus let me hear the difference.
