Pull back the shield between us
And I'll kiss you
Drop your defenses and come
Into my arms
I'm all for believing, I'm all for believing
I'm all for believing if you can reveal
Your true colors within
I know you blanket your mind
So much that I am blind
But I see you painted your soul into your guard
I'm all for believing, I'm all for believing
I need to know just how you feel
To comfort you
I need to find the key to let me in
Into your heart, to find your soul
Pull back the shield between us
And I'll kiss you
Drop your defenses and come
Into my arms
I'm all for believing if you can reveal
Your true colors within
Say you will be there for me to hold
When faith grows old
And life turns cold
When faith grows old (I'm all for believing)
And life turns cold (I'm all for believing)
So if you're cold I will stay
Maybe fate will guide the way
I believe in what I see
And baby we were meant to be
Just believe (Baby we were meant to be)
Just believe (Baby we were meant to be)
Just believe (Baby we were meant to be)
Trust in me
And I'll kiss you
Drop your defenses and come
Into my arms
I'm all for believing, I'm all for believing
I'm all for believing if you can reveal
Your true colors within
I know you blanket your mind
So much that I am blind

What....This has got to be Fiona Apple? or a tribute album....? I'm am so confused. The tone and control is more mature....but almost identical.
Thanks, because we (I) love to hear the new (unknown) artists RP is famous for. Keep doing it!
it might sound like a cop-out ..excuse... whatever... but i'm not sure that you will get missy higgins if you have not tasted of australia and all that it encompasses...
but a reference to "idol"...? no please ... that's so mis-sighted that it prompted me to write this. she is different.

Oh crap, Bill, this is the wrong song from the wrong album by the right singer. Please do try her CD: On A Clear Night, and give a spin to Where I Stood and 100 Round the Bends, and Secret. At least those three....come on!!!!

She's awesome.
It's a great album, this isn't the best tune from it, but thanks for playing!
This really reminds me of the indulgent music I listened to in high school when I was trying to be melancholic. Horrible.
When I first heard her I was not a fan, but have become so over time. A beautiful voice.
