I love how they've always been on another level. That's admirable as can be. I enjoy meeting them there often.
Was the link between the last song (Cave by Future Islands)  and this the album covers?

Always wonderful to see and feel your sunshine, Cynaera!

No. Just no. This band has talent. Sigur Ros is just nasal cat whining in Icelandic.

Which came first, the skeleton or the sigur?
Who likes the sort of music played on rp´s main mix, might want to check out the BBC show: Later... with Jools holland.

Speaking of Karen O, have you guys heard the cover she did with Willie Nelson of Under Pressure?  I'm really loving it.

Thank you for THAT!  What an interesting, quirky, and amazing cover.

This is a phenomenal album. One of the best of the  noughties. LOVE Karen O's voice.

Well, she is singing about skeletons.

More specifically, she is singing about being a skeleton and being dead and buried.

 Hey Anonymous..........have you departed this frame?

Everyone in my COVID 19 isolation ward loves this song.
One of the only songs of theirs I can tolerate.  6.4.  Hmm.

About right.
Sigur Ros in English.
And this is how you break an egg, with your pinky up. Nice cover art. And quite likeable odd song.
Something of an Edinburgh Tattoo pipe band vibe about this one (UK listeners will know what I am saying).

Love may not cry, but I am after hearing this hot mess of a song. Next!

Love the cover photograph!  Wouldn't want to clean up the mess it would leave.

Don't leave me hanging ... what is it really all about?

Sorry it took so long to reply. It's the way young people reply "Yeah Yeah Yeah" in a conversation. Since I'm a bit older it sounds dismissive and rude to me.
I'm afraid that one shouldn't take up singing if one can't sing, Neil Young excepted. (And then, as if by magic, Neil Young's Powderfinger starts to play. I do love this station.)

  I work hard down at the Positronic& Mumsford, keeping mills running.
                You know It's only outside to show it inside.
                You can take a rush hour and  six lines of traffic.
        But take my advice,  don't take no yoke from a dandy egghead.
Did Bill ink from Gomez to this one based on the cover art?

Oh man, I haven't heard this song in the longest time!
But it hasn't been long enough!

Excellent news. Bumped this song to an 8 just for that.
Everybody in my alien space craft loves this song...
Just when I think RP's playlist is getting a little stale, they play a great song like this that they haven't played in quite a while.
maps
Here is a band that needs waaay more airplay on RP -

I don't agree with Stingray often, but when I do.... I get really pissed off!  Big time!

PISSES ME OFF!

BIG TIME!!!

Except they never do. Which is a shame, because it would liven up a tune that promises a lot and gives you nothing and then just buggers off without saying goodbye.

7-> 8 'cause I really like it and haven't heard this one for a while!
Love the tone of her voice. It's vulnerable and smooth. Good atmosphere.

Umm ... She is, actually.

Chill, MojoJojo - he can rate stuff however he wants, as can you.  I've rated a few songs as sucko-barfo. Doesn't mean I hate every song. I've rated a lot of songs 10. Doesn't mean I love every song.

And addicted2music:  {#High-five}

You made me look — they're from New York.  (I was thinking this song kind of had a Fever Ray vibe).

Despite the overwhelming presence of Romeotuma's opinion on this page, I think this song is fairly mediocre musically and painfully annoying vocally. Ugh. Where's Bjork when you need her. {#Rolleyes}

This title needs to return to the section reviewing, for at least six months, to see what your panel of "expert and very selective reviewers" , 30 or 40 members, has to say or vote on these performances...

Karen Oooooooo.
{#Hearteyes}
The music is good. Vocals, not so much.

Just crazy for sick minds. This song reveals the moment of decay across the world of music, like all Ga Ga that roam around. Diversity  and ecletic does not explain everything, while, in parallel, RP is "deaf ears" to the music of renowned quality, but from other sources than the American "fashion" market. This is the drug of today. Bahhhh. RP, do not go there ......

** 2 **

For some reason I was half expecting her to break into the original version of 99 Luftballons.  I think it's her voice.

2 minutes in, but so far it hasn't gone anywhere...

I like this.  It sounds like Sigur Ros.   Is this the Icelandic invasion?
Wow, on first listen, I really liked that.
Sounds like she is singing her last dying breath.
Skeleton me . . .errr, what does that mean?
Sounds like the children's x-mas chorus from the movie TOYS. And not in a good way.

Thank you.  Even though you rate everything 10, have never ever said a bad thing about any song here, thank you.  Well said.  Thank you.

Made it to 8! {#Angel}
7... pushing 8.  {#Music}

I like the minimilist qualities of this track, a moody trance inducer.  This whole album has a great restrained feeling, in contrast to some of YYY's more aggressive work.
NO NO NO
Nice album cover. That's the only positive comment I could think of.
Soundtrack for someone being buried?
Shut - up - for - me?

Please.
I am starting to appreciate Karen O as an artist.  It's growing on me.

There are much better irish tints!!

No Rythm and soul!
Noise with bad vocals.
