Muse songs often strike me as done in similar style as used to great effect by the old glam rock group, Sweet (such as in their song "Medusa")... Jamming riffs and hooks, sci-fi lyrics sung and harmonized in HIGH range

This tune reminds me of a tune by Kai Winding from 1962 or '63. I can't remember the name of the tune (might have been "More"). It got a lot of radio airplay, even on the rock & roll AM Top10/Top40 radio stations.

Not sure where to place it in the mix, but having seen it's mention in the notes I gotta play Telstar now.  In a month I wore out the 45 on my suitcase record player.  I'm trying to remember what was on the flip side.   I see BOC coming up.  After that slide towards the past looks a good place to slip it in.

Great Saturday morning wake-up mix today.  Thanks, I needed the music energy to get going.

For those who like down tempo ambient style rock, the rest of the album by Focus was pretty decent.  Makes me think of Camel.

I am not sure that Camel is for RP but you can hear the Genesis, King Crimson, Moody Blues influence and you can hear melodies and riffs that will remind you of Porcupine Tree.  Steven Wilson is a big fan. 

As for this pretentious garbage Muse song, I kinda like it.
