There's nothing that I want to do
More than get alone and be with you
Trouble with dreams is they don't come true
And when they do they can't catch up to you
You don't need a thing from me
But I need something big from you
'Cause you know I've got an awful lot of big dreams
I'm walking down a lonely road
Clear to me now but I was never told
Trouble with dreams is you never know
When to hold on and when to let go
If you let me down it's alright
At least that leaves something for me
'Cause you know I've got an awful lot of big dreams
This is the life that I must lead now
Crossing fingers and wiping brow
Trouble with dreams is you can't pretend
Something with no beginning has no end
You don't need a thing from me
But I need something big from you
'Cause you know I've got an awful lot of big dreams
More than get alone and be with you
Trouble with dreams is they don't come true

The drum break is fantastic, makes me want to get up and dance!

I hear the "sunday morning" xylophone , velvet underground.
The initial chord progression combined with xylophone had me thinking violent femmes...of course everything else is different!

The story of Mark Everett & his family is epic, too much to even scratch the surface here.
What's the scoop on this artist/group?

cool tune (the xylophone ringing had me think of Buddy's "Every Day" : )

except the way they feels?
or as meals?
Intense movie scene sound
Sounds like the xylophone player is quoting from the Velvet Underground's "Sunday Morning."

I don't think eels have ears. Really irritating.
I realize it's the group "EELS" with an additional string section, but I just can't get the picture of some horrible fish-meal out of my head. Eeewww.
Something Cockney perhaps, or possibly Cajun.
And I'm from a country were we eat raw salted herring (filet), picking it up by the tail and dangling it into our mouth. Yum!
David Grisman Quartet's percussionist regularly uses his fiddle case in concert and in the studio. It has that certain quality he likes. What else can one say?

Couldn't believe nobody had uploaded something from this album yet. Fun, a bit tongue in cheek yet very pro. Who would have thought a suitcase could be such a good perc instrument
E's singing is better in the album version, but this up-tempo rendition is nice.

Yea! There's a muso in Oz who plays the ' Empty Beer Carton' ( of course, you have to drink the beer first, but it does sound pretty good the way he plays it. )
Yeap, and I, for one, can whistle in a bottle . That guy and I should start a duo.

Thanks for adding some EELs with Strings to the playlist! EELs are one of my all time favorite groups, and I feel that this tour and album was their best yet. A great vibe and rendition of their great songs. Thanks again for the playlist add!
