Never saw the movie or read the book but the first few seasons of "Friday Night Lights" were outstanding. Even the last one, which had some storylines that felt forced, was great. Definitely worth catching on Netflix if that's available where you are, Unclehud.

The last season felt a bit tacked on, but it was a great, great show. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton were tremendous. Never thought I'd get hooked when I first started watching.

Would love to know how that combined Panthers-Lions team worked out.

I can't believe this is the only song from EITS on the RP playlist?!  Their new album "Take Care, Take Care, Take Care" is really amazing - all the songs are fabulous.  Trembling Hands in particular is a ROCKER, but there's lots of great mid tempo and beautiful slow pieces as well.

Bill, you really need to add a few more of their songs - they have such an amazing catalog of brilliant instrumental music.

Saw these guys at Lollapalooza three years ago and was blown away.  Promptly went out and bought three of their CDs.  All of their stuff is fabulous really melodic and interesting instrumentals.  The version of this song that's on their "The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place" is better than this version.

If you don't own a copy of "The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place", the original CD with this track, your collection is lacking. I'm not normally a fan of instrumental only music, but this CD is just about perfect. I also purchased the movie soundtrack but it pales to the aforemention, 5 track disc.

I saw 'em that tour too (in Orlando).  I have never felt as old as I did that night... the place was PACKED with young teens.  Says good things about the tastes of the youth, so I let the reminder of my decrepitude pass ;)

I don't even understand how people can compare Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Explosions in the Sky in the same breath. Other than the fact that they're mostly instrumental and have longer songs, I fail to see any similarities. Godspeed is gigantic, grandiose, pompous, and pretentious...and Explosions is little more than wimpy, noodling, throwaway Mogwai melodies. Sorry.

Now you'll never loose me as a listener :) I watched Explosions in the Sky live at the Quart festival in Kristiansand, Norway, a few years ago and it's my best live experience, catch them if you can! And again Radio Paradise: Thanks for the best radio station, ever :) -Øyvind
