Friday I can't see the use
Get the hell right out of Dodge
Slip the traffic like a noose
On the trail of some mirage
Every time it comes
I think my luck will stay
Drive all the way
To Vegas baby
Got no aces up my sleeve
Got nowhere to rest my head
Got no money sir to lose
And the sky is turning red
And I change out of my jeans
On the road beside the lake
Like the skies that I have seen
When I have been asleep-awake
Take the rain as a sign
Get myself dressed to the nines
And I will pay for this
Somewhere down the line
And I'm flying through the heat
The Mexicali radio
Every car is like a prayer
Searching for somewhere to go
Get the hell right out of Dodge
Slip the traffic like a noose
On the trail of some mirage
Every time it comes
I think my luck will stay
Drive all the way
To Vegas baby
Got no aces up my sleeve
Got nowhere to rest my head
Got no money sir to lose
And the sky is turning red
And I change out of my jeans
On the road beside the lake
Like the skies that I have seen
When I have been asleep-awake
Take the rain as a sign
Get myself dressed to the nines
And I will pay for this
Somewhere down the line
And I'm flying through the heat
The Mexicali radio
Every car is like a prayer
Searching for somewhere to go

Love me some Weepies
That was an interesting segue from the seguemaster. This followed Fleetwood Mac's "Brushes," from Rumours. The Weepies' guitar riff at the beginning of this song is a close copy of the distinctive opening riff on "Oh well" from Fleetwood Mac's Then play on (1969). I suspected something like that was going on so I checked the songs on the latter album, and sure enough...!
nice vegas segues...

Wow, yet another new song on RP that I have never heard before. Awesome, I love RP! Happy Holidays RP and RPers!
sounds like bare naked ladies if they had a girl in the band.
Fantastic! Deb and Steve are each amazing performers in their own right. Put them together and some kind of alchemy occurs. An excellent live show as well.
Excellent tune. Awesome harmonies. Why not indeed? :nodhead:
That was fun.
Jangly, upbeat pop.
Why not?
