Well, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
Yeah, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
If the house is a rockin', don't bother, come on in
Kick off your shoes start losin' the blues
This old house ain't got nothin' to lose
Seen it all for years, start spreadin' the news
We got room on the floor, come on baby shake sumpin' loose
Well, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
Yeah, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
Yeah, the house is a rockin', don't bother come on in
Well, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
Yeah, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
Yeah, the house is a rockin', don't bother come on in
Walkin' up the street you can hear the sound
Of some bad honky tonkers really layin' it down
They've seen it all for years and 'ave got nothin' to lose
So get out on the floor shimmy 'til you shake sumpin' loose
Well, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
Yeah, the house is a rockin', don't bother knockin'
Yeah, the house is a rockin', don't bother come on in
I said the house is a rockin', don't bother come on in

why would one flame you? It is an honest opinion. If that's how you feel.. I can't help you looser! NO! I'm just kidding!
I definitely like it.

use mute button next time lol save yourself! lol
As an avid SRV fan - this is not worthy of airplay. Even Stevie himself was quoted as saying he did not like this song. There is SOOOO much better material from him that should make these airwaves. C'mon RP! I rarely ever write any negatives on this forum, but I just could not restrain myself this time.

I like it. I like a whole lot of other SRV better, but I still like it.

I have always found Stevie Ray Vaughn's songs exceedingly repetitive.
Oh, and they all sound the same too!
(oh boy, here come the flames....)

I have the same problem with Radiohead.
To each his own, I guess.

Reportedly written about Rockefeller's in Houston, Texas. Sadly both SRV and Rockefeller's are gone.
A travesty on both counts!!! Houston is at such a loss for good music venues these days.
nice...this is one of the few Double Trouble songs that actually lets the other band members show off a bit.
So many better SRV tunes, but this one certainly hasn't been overplayed here. Can't say it hasn't been beat to death everywhere else.

No kidding? I remember that place ... sort of. I think I saw Joe King Carrasco there one night. He leapt off the stage and squashed one of my friends.
When the dance floor is looking a bit bare, we just bust out this number and it's sure to pull everyone out of their seats. In fact, that was the case just this last Saturday! Keep them blues comin'!

While that's a nice image, I'm positive Jimi is there too.
Yeah, Jimi & Miles are on Main Stage just round the corner....
Why did a man with some reasonable talent in writing and playing have only three songs with many different sets of lyrics/titles?
This song is a 20!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!!!!!!

Stevie is THE MAN!!!
ROCK'N'ROLL!!!
Love this one, but what about "Mary Had A Little Lamb"? Same rockin' vibe, but hotter guitar solo on the live version...
RIP Stevie. Damn!

Hmmm...never considered air piano... sounds cool . But, where's middle 'C'?
Hello:
Ya' gotta check every song that you like -- I couldn't believe that this had not been uploaded already. AND it was accepted right away, without going into the LRC pot! :D
Now, if only more (all!?) my uploads were accepted...
Sincerely, Neil
