GREAT!!
this would have been perfect followed by the Shins' "New Slang"
That Dean Martinez. man, what an S.O.B.
I've heard that at least some of these guys evolved into Calexico. They do a version of this song with lyrics, that's pretty good as well.
Much prefer the Gary Jules cover, on the Donnie Darko soundtrack.
nice, i like....reminds me of another guitarist fav - Junior Brown...play some Junior, Bill? <-o<
Very Ennio Morricone-ish.
This sounds very nice in Paradise. Good choice.

Sounds like something that should be in a Tarrantino movie, and that's not a bad thing ;)
That's the first thing I thought just now as I was listening. And no, it's not a bad thing!

Hey, doesn't Bruce Cockburn mention "Friends of Dean Martinez" in a song? ... darn, can't think of it right now ... but that must have inspired this selection. What's the connection?
Actually, I uploaded this song as a sort of joke. I mean, I definitely like the song, including the entire album, but I really didn't think it would be adopted for play here... Especially since RP has rejected most of my other uploads, including songs by Gordan Lightfoot, and America. Go figure! Anyway, I saw this song briefly featured on MTV in 1996 (again, go figure), and then bought the album. It really is a good instrumental album in my judgement though. :)

Very different, But it would be a nice balance to play Kristen Hersh's version off her "Murder, Misery, & Then Goodnight" album as a counterpoint.
