I see a man with a flag
And he leads the procession
And a woman shedding tears
For a man locked in prison
Yeah...
Then the two locked eyes
And for a moment I was taken
And all paths lead
To a single conclusion
Yeah...

Everything is good for you
If it doesn't kill you
Everything is good for you
One man's ending
Is another man's beginning
Everything is good for you

It's a nightmare talking
To a restless ocean
With a reckless calm
To state their position
Oh...
But if you come undone
It might just set you free

Everything is good for you
If it doesn't kill you
Everything is good for you
One man's ending
Is another man's beginning

Bring back your head
Here comes trouble
To turn me and be well
Cover your heart

Everything is good for you
If it doesn't kill you
Everything is good for you
If it doesn't kill you

Everything is good for you
Is good for you

What a nice song! A little Beatles vibes coming on!

interesting take. i'm not hearing that at all. but, i love both!
Reverb suits the tone of this song. Makes it sound like a great track to play out the end of the world to...
All Finn family songs are an automatic 7 and if they are bangers they go up accordingly
Who gives this less than a 7? Melody blocked? Word oblivious? 4Chan dweller? Pack some things and head up into the light.
Crowded House just yesterday announced a tour in NZ for March 2021 - Neil is being joined by his two sons Liam and Elroy. Very exciting, especially in these trying times.
New Crowded House album happening early 2021.
Joe Jackson's 'Everything Gives You Cancer' would be suitable return volley.
I thought I had heard everything the Finn brothers made... then here comes this number that's all about me.  Life is so strange sometimes.

RUN TO THE STEREO AND TURN IT UP!  One of the best jangle-fuzzed guitar hooks ever! & I love the truth of the words!
What does not kill me, makes me stronger!

Good point.

It looks like it's been a long time since anybody came on to say thanks for playing this mesmerizing and immortal groove! THANKS, Bill, Rebecca, and Crowded House!

Go Kiwi........
Khobar Towers, 1991. Me on guard duty. Standing 50 or more stories above the desert sands. Just lonesome, winsome me under an inestimable night sky, dark thoughts of war, and Crowded House in my walkman.

That's great news!
Crowded House has reunited! Welcome to frenz.com! CROWDED HOUSE REFORM frenz.com is delighted to present to you the following press release: January 25th 2007 Crowded House founders Neil Finn and Nick Seymour have confirmed that they will be putting the band back together, with plans for a new studio album and world tour. Talking about the decision Neil said "After spending most of last year making music and hanging out with my friend Nick Seymour we are now announcing our intention to reform Crowded House with a new record entitled Time On Earth. It feels right to us that the band should re-emerge at this time and together with Mark Hart we look forward to reconnecting with the audience that we established and for whom we still hold a deep respect. We aim to make the upcoming shows and the new music every bit as vital and spirited as what has come before. We are conscious that Paul Hester was above all a great drummer and we are currently auditioning to find someone special to take that role." The band is currently putting the finishing touches on the new album for release later in the year. Tour plans are yet to be announced but the band have confirmed they will play the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in California, USA along with Bjork, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Rage Against the Machine.

tempted to upload a version of distant sun - but I'm not sure how well some of Neil's solo stuff - just acoustic bootlegs - would go down. can RP even play bootlegs? If not, it's such a shame - People are really mising out ;)
I realize that you wrote this in Nov, 2003 and that your last comment was Dec 04, 2003 so you are probably not around. But it would be great if you or anyone else could upload the acoustic bootlegs that you mentioned in your comment. I would love to hear it. Here's hoping.
Deadicated to Dig Deep Day -- yay!

Not the best song on this cd, but hey, not even Neil Finn is perfect. And as a songwriter, he's DAMN close.

Does not do anything for me. Repetitive guitar line; uninspiring lyrics. Meaningless.
Yeah, compared to some other CH songs this is downward bland.

The songs you listed are all terrific, and should all be on the playlist here. So should I Feel Possessed, Weather With You, It's Only Natural, Better Be Home Soon and There Goes God. Of course, I could be wrong. :)
all good...and "How Will You Go".

Guess you don't love them as much as you thought..... this song, like anything else by them/Neil Finn, is a 10.

This really doesn't match for 'the best of crowed house' tempted to upload a version of distant sun - but I'm not sure how well some of Neil's solo stuff - just acoustic bootlegs - would go down. can RP even play bootlegs? If not, it's such a shame - People are really mising out ;)

No no, everything is well for me, silly! :p
Everything is good for you, except this song.
\"everything is good for you / if it doesn\'t kill you\" well... This song didn\'t kill me. So it\'s good :p

Marginal at best
I like the sentiment and the band in general, but musically this one just sort of sits there in neutral instead of taking off.
Wow! A rare track! Not so rare anymore, I guess. I would love to see Crowded House get more exposure and this is the best venue yet! How about anything from Together Alone, their swan song? Maybe In My Command, Nails in My Feet or Fingers of Love. All very thought provoking songs.... Thanks RP!
