I like this song very much. There is one tiny part in the chorus that, for the longest time, reminded me of someone/something. Then it hit me - there was a kiddy song I used to have on vinyl that we brought up with us when we immigrated from Brazil. In fact, its timing & notation is a little like the music from there, especially the Carmen Miranda stuff. :p

Caught my ear and had to comment. I like the tune and have put it on the aquire list.

What are you guys nitpicking for? This is a pretty cool song. People get too hung up on the messenger these days. It\'s the song not the singer that counts.

It is one thing to be listening to a track, and being able to identify an artist\'s musical influences. That is a normal part of a musician\'s pursuit of a distinct voice and sound. It is an ENTIRELY other matter to mimic — to almost a minute level — the musical style and vocal mannerisms of someone more famous than you. That is a habit best left to the likes of \"P. Diddy\" and other sample-mongers. Artists are as visionary and revolutionary as they choose to be. Look at the Violent Femmes, Elvis Costello, They Might Be Giants, Beck... Real musicians don\'t dumpter dive through other artist\'s work. If you\'re going to, you should be polite enough to do something original with the detritus before reselling it as your own.

It was bugging me, who was this then I realised it was Natalie Merchant guesting with Green Day... best apart
