Look around your world, pretty baby
Is it everything you'd hoped it'd be?
The wrong guy, the wrong situation
The right time to roll to me
Roll to me

And look into your heart, pretty baby
Is it aching with some nameless need?
Is there something wrong and you can't put your finger on it
Right then, roll to me

And I don't think I have ever seen
A soul so in despair
So if you want to talk the night through
Guess who will be there?

So don't try to deny it, pretty baby
You've been down so long you can hardly see
When the engine's stalled and it won't stop raining, it's the
Right time to roll to me
Roll to me
Roll to me

And I don't think I have ever seen
A soul so in despair
So if you want to talk the night through
Guess who will be there?

So look around your world, pretty baby
Is it everything you'd hoped it'd be?
The wrong guy, the wrong situation
The right time to roll to me
The right time to roll to me
the right time to roll to me

Even though I've heard this some untold number of times, it remains strangely forgettable.

An excellent song....can't help but love it.....don't know anything else by this group.....any suggestions out there besides the ones below (thanks guys).
"Change Everything" is a really good album. Try that one or "Waking Hours".
Sucks. Sucks eggs.
There are better songs on this album than this Top 40 wannabe. (click here)

What snobs (some of) you people are! This is just good pop music, by an excellent band!
What's next? Hootie and the Blowfish? This is really, really bad.

Absolute, Total, Utter Crap!!! How can I suggest RP to friends if they play this. Is this the intro to the Friends? This has to be the all time worst song ever played on RP. -1,000 rating.
I dont like to put negative comments up here, but I have to admit, when I first heard this I thought, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? what the heck is this doing on RP??

That's a matter of opinion, of course.
Hey, the milf song!

Love Driving With the Brakes On! The song that is, I actually hate it when people drive with their breaks on. Picked up their greatest hits CD just based on that song and the whole things is pretty good. I also really like the tune Always The Last To Know.
Agreed. And a nice change of pace, too.
I have always hated this song. Blech.
did someone pay bill to play this???? horrible.
Thank you, whoever keeps uploading DA!!! 10.

Maybe Radio Paradise is really a Mormon radio station, pulling all your old favorite songs into Paradise with you. Ack. I must be outta my mind.
Radio Paradise does not play this song, Radio Purgatory does. I always thought the song was catchy in the way that all pop garbage can be, where you cant stand it but cant stop listening to it either.
OMG Can't believe I'm hearing this commercial crap on hear. Cmon Bill.

I agree. Where's the flushing-toilet emoticon?
Beaten nearly to death, but I still kinda like it.
Again, I must fess up...I dig pop tunes like this.

I always thought this was the Counting Crows. And I also always thought he was saying "Right time, wrong me".
While not on par with a Lennon/McCartney piece, this is a cheerful bit of pop happiness
When I was some 13 y.o. or so I loved this, it came from radio and I even recorded it to the tape, but I never knew who performed it :( And guess what I just heard it on RP and now I know that this is Del Amitri and "Roll to me". I am saved!!!!
How did this make it onto the radio? This song is lame, it's got nothing, truly bland.
Come on PEOPLE!! Lighten up! This song is a total SMILE---
I thought that "Change Anything" was theCD that came out right before this one. Could be wrong on that. Anyway, I agree, its an excellent CD. Highly recommended.
Yeah, major suckage.
Not really one of their stronger songs, but these guys were great. Waking Hours was an outstanding album, the next one, Change Everything, was almost as good.

I agree.

I believe they are history. The last disc I have of theirs is from 2002
There are some songs that can never leave your collective unconscious. This is still a bit "overplayed" for me as I hear it on terrestrial radio once in awhile.....but it is darn catchy.
Are they still putting out CDs?

I can't decide if I like this or I'm very much bothered by it. I think it's both..
ack!
GaaaAAAAAAAaaaaAAAAAAAaaaAAAAAaaAaaAAAAAaaaaAAA!!!!!!!
I\'m not a fan of the usual but... You gotta love a well crafted pop song and this is a classic example. I also agree that these guys have taken their pop sensibility and turned it into something special on other efforts.
I saw these guys on their first trip to the States, in late 80\'s. They couldn\'t get working papers for the U.S.A. so they couldn\'t charge for their appearances. They played a free acoustical show in a small record store, maybe 30 people present. Very amiable blokes!!
I really love Del Amitri, and have to credit this song for introducing me to them. I love this song because it\'s so catchy and upbeat. That said, I also really enjoy their deeper stuff.
Catchy song but not one of their best.
this was the only song from the Twisted CD to be released to radio, which is very deceptive. most of this album is much, much heavier and sounds nowhere near as pop-y. definitely worth a listen.

Mediocre song.
