My name is Luka
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes, I think you've seen me before
If you hear something late at night
Some kind of trouble, some kind of fight
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
I think it's 'cause I'm clumsy
I try not to talk too loud
Maybe it's because I'm crazy
I try not to act too proud
They only hit until you cry
After that you don't ask why
You just don't argue anymore
Just don't argue anymore
Just don't argue anymore
Yes, I think I'm okay
I walked into the door again
If you ask, that's what I'll say
And it's not your business anyway
I guess I'd like to be alone
With nothing broken, nothing thrown
Just don't ask me how I am
Just don't ask me how I am
Just don't ask me how I am
My name is Luka

Nice segue from Luka to Luka, nicely played!
This song is a time machine back to 90s. :)

Ha, nice follow up on Luka Bloom.
Two months later, reading this just after Luka Bloom.
Time to change the playlist, RP.
And again.
This isn't a corporate entity where success hinges on playing the same song(s) over and over for profit. Limited resources could be the reason - RP has other channels to choose from and a SKIP feature. Try it out.

Nah, com'on, some pairings are just too good to change, and besides, it's far better than tuning into mainstream stations.

I just love this acoustic version. Suzanne's voice is just amazing. No surprise it was used to fine-tune the MP3 compression algorithms.
After seeing how they slammed this on VH1, it just makes me laugh now.
I've always liked this song quite a lot - hits a very personal nerve from days at the head of middle school classroom. The initial smile the song brings out fades gracefully as the words sink in. Not the burn some painful music creates, but a soft melting of anything cynical.
Now she adds a simpler acoustic take and I've added daughters to my life. Kinda hard to go to this place while sitting in the office trying to churn out some code.
I remember when this song came out, people were upset because they thought there was something wrong with someone who sang about such troubling subject matter. After that everyone thought Suzanne Vega was "weird".
one of the few songs about battered women... kinda wierd with the upbeat melody and guitar riffs, but that's what catches folks' attention...
Had a good chuckle over this.
