Lately, nothing seems to be going right
Solo, why do you have to get so low?
You're so
You've been waiting in the sun too long
But if you sing, sing
Sing
Sing, sing, sing
For the love you bring won't mean a thing
Unless you sing
Sing, sing, sing
Colder, crying over your shoulder
Hold her, and tell her everything's gonna be fine
Surely, you've been going too early
Hurry, 'cause no-one's gonna be stopped, na na na na na
But if you sing
Sing
Sing, sing, sing
For the love you bring won't mean a thing
Unless you sing
Sing, sing, sing, sing, sing
Baby, there's something going on today
But I say
Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing
So na na na na
If you sing
Sing
Sing, sing, sing
For the love you bring won't mean a thing
Unless you sing
Sing, sing, sing, sing
Oh baby sing
Sing
Sing
Sing, sing, sing
For the love you bring won't mean a thing
Unless you sing
Sing, sing, sing
nope and his lyrics are shit
Harsh. Don't bag the artist that wrote or performed the song. Just accept your lived experience doesn't align with the artist's and let those whose experience allows them to appreciate it enjoy it.
Travis is one of those bands I dearly want to like.
Why? Surely you like a band or you don't.
nope and his lyrics are shit
Whatever dude
Just gone '9' cos it lifted me at the end of a long day of CAD and meetings!!
Fran Healy's voice is amazing.
nope and his lyrics are shit
trite depressing shit.
Glen Campbell: 8
... would give a fortune to relive a day from those times....
As would many of us out here, friend....
:-)
Easy 9 for the memories, would give a fortune to relive a day from those times.
Fran Healy's voice is amazing.
If somebody has the Glen Campbell version of this song, please upload for consideration. Glen Campbell is a fine musician.
Agreed - I also like GC version ...

And here I am thinking that the plinky plonky banjo is great, enough so that I want 7 to 8 on this one.....Long Live RP!!
You got it LK. Banjo is good on any song!
Huh! For the first time I am noticing the bass line. Sweet.
The plinky plonky Banjo is THE most annoying part, and uneccessary I feel. It doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the track at all, and is out of place. The rest is just Ho-Hum IMO.

He was a very good guitar player.
I love RP, but when they play U2, Coldplay or these chancers it's painful.
I have this song rated 9; I quite enjoy U2 and Coldplay.

Having listened to them off and on for 20 some years I find this comment pretty damn accurate. Love this one.
You just hit PSD, but in a really, really mean way!
Yup. That is why I try to ask about the rest of the CD before buying.
Whenever Travis comes on, that's when I reach for my puke emotocon. Whoops, it's gone. Darn.
couldn't agree with you more.
By the way, Bill, can we hear "Wichita Lineman" sometime soon?
I submitted "Wichita Lineman" to the LRC for playlist consideration - it summarily received a "Sorry" response.
Yeah, what's up with that? Wrecked without wretched retching winky.
I suspect he got 86ed because at lot of crybabies cannot take a joke. Score one for the whiners. This comment board could use right about now a healthy dose of a sense of humor. We have some major league dullards here who want to turn the board into sanitized wiki-music page.
I have a serious proposal for guidelines. The New Yorker magazine prints the word "fuck" all the time. You can watch HBO and hear the word as well. Kids of all ages watch HBO. Every single 10 year old kid I knew in 1980 watched skinimax on cable. I doubt anything has changed. Bill Maher is a funny, potty mouthed lefty nut who I watch and who entertains me very much. If it could be said on Maher, then it should be OK for the RP comment board.
I agree we don't want anything like nudity. I am sure I am not alone here in that I work in a professional environment and from time to time I read comments on break at work. My office is like every singe office in the USA. We are talking about at least a 100 million citizens here with office jobs. It is considered sexual harassment if a man or woman has an image of a naked woman or man on his or her screen. Even a woman scantily clad in a bikini could be grounds for a termnination based on harassment. The reason for this practice is quite simply those sophisticated, cultural elite feminists. It's not the "puritanical", "unsophisticated" USA we are talking about here. I happen to agree with it. It would be a very hostile work environment if people could just have provocative photos on their computer screens at work.

It's gone? Yeah! I hate that thing!!

This one will change your mind about it..
Johnny A on guitar.
Yeah, I remember their cover of this song had so much more energy to it and the drumming was killer.

Check.
Nice, but boring. It has a kind of musical superficiality about it.
agreed. 6—>5
Nice song.
Not boring at all.

Album cover reminds me "plastic ono band"
Actually I would reach for George Harrison first. Or the Eagles for that matter. Nice pop tune. Gorgeous.
you know who I hear? This is srange but it always reminds me of that old song Good Morning Starshine....and I don't know why!!!
