Everything that you are,
That you'd like to be
Will come in three, my friend

Times thine inequity
The flutes of the chi
Will sound again, my friend

Wrap yourself up in gold,
The fruits of the old,
Are ripe to be told, my friend

For, it's not what you are,
How you've come to be
All this will will end and begin again

(solos)

Everything that you are,
That you'd like to be
Will come in three, my friend

Times thine inequity,
The flutes of the chi
Will sound again, my friend

I laughed at this way more than I should have.
I love Ween. I was first introduced to them by my ex. I didn't get it at first. I  thought, "These guys just imitate other people's shit." Which they do. But they manage to end with something totally uniquely Ween. I can't explain it. Chocolate and Cheese is a brilliant album. 'Voodoo Lady'...'Joppa Road'....'Don't Shit where you Eat', which is straight up Grateful Dead. But different.

Ween is like AI artist mash-up before there was AI.

I love this song 8->9

I just had to boost my 9 to a 10. This one hit the perfect spot today, working perfectly (somehow) right after Joe Strummer's Forbidden City
that's a nice pepper.
I love this song 8->9
I, for one, enjoy the chocobo sound effect in this song.
Man that incessant 'Wheee' noise that sounds like they just squeeze a small baby as a percussion instrument bugs me. I don't rate or downvote or skip over many songs - a testament to Bill's great taste but cannot unhear or tolerate. Bleh.
Ween is so versatile... Sounds like the Beatles.  Like a Harrison song from their days in India.  Amazing
this is a great song

you can sing the melody, a day or so after hearing it now

Ween? Uh, okay. Cool tune. And they're from a really unique place - New Hope, PA. It's a charming, historic town along the Delaware River. Who knew? Now I do.

I Agree on all counts!!
Good Tune! I never heard of them before this. Thank You RP!

What an incredibly adaptive artwork on the album! I can see a flaccid penis, a uvula, woman’s bare back, heads swishing side to side. No offence meant ~ it’s just a fantastically creative adaptive artwork. I’d like to buy it please?

i see a white goat's face, slightly distorted

Better the Flutes of the Chi than the Flutes of the Loom. Most excellent!

Quebec theme?  (Margot Timmons to Ween)?
Seems like many are hearing other singers--I heard Gerry Rafferty myself.
That background noise sounds like someone with emphysema.
John Lennon copycat - fail!
+1 Wings featuring George Harrison .....

I can't think of any Stones tune which this song's melody resembles; not that there isn't.  I can't even think of any Stones song which is in 6/8 "waltz time" as this one is.  It is a pretty basic chord progression though, it could sound like a lot of other songs.
ween are musical wizards. truly great musicians who to me are a cross between zappa and skid roper/mojo nixon

but the photos that accompany this song are a bit off

That's exactly what I was thinking through the whole song. A Beatles/Badfinger-ish flavor to it.

Ween to me is like eating atomic Jelly Babies—they taste great and explode your head.

I'm thinking that the "woo hoo" sound that people are commenting on is not a squeaky toy, but a sitar.
I could be wrong, but it sure sounds like it to me.

Perfect!

Aaron leaving Ween was a depressing thing...It was a sad day for me when it was announced....I'm thankful Bill plays some Ween in the mix..they really were an awesome diverse band....
Just Weenderful!

My little valve amp thinks that squeeky-toy is important and makes a big deal out of it. I could do without it, to be frank. Otherwise a fine song.
I heard from a mutual friend that Ween is working on getting back together!
I sure like Ween

Thanks for playing this song, Bill.  I've purchased it on Itunes through your page.  Hope you get credit.

ANOTHER BRILLIANT TRANSITION! From Spoon's "The Book I Write"... God, I love you so fracking much, RP...
This could grow on me, from a 7 to a __. But that title: I know what a flute is, and what chi is, but I didn't know that chi played the flutes. Or chi's played the flute.  Hmmm. I'll ask Cain. Or my karate sensei.

That joke comes off much better if the bear says "Hey, Rabbit!"

After you deliver this joke properly, you can forever thereafter elicit a laugh just by saying "Hey, Rabbit!"

For some reason  I can't explain, the funny part of the joke is the bear saying "Hey Rabbit!"

Reminds me of George Harrison. That's not a good thing. Soporific and narcolepsy-inducing, though the chipmunks are cool and I second MsJudi's call for animal sounds in music. I can think of a few tracks that would be significantly improved by the inclusion of animal noises, in the case of this song a howling wolf pack. 3 from the somnolent Nottingham jury {#Sleep}
I'm particularly fond of the chipmunks in the background... you just don't hear enough wild animal vocals in music these days and we're all the more poor for it.

Spoon - The Book I Write
Ween - Flutes of the Chi

A truly great rhythmic transition—involving two bands with single syllables, double vowels, and four word song titles.
everyone needs alittle Ween in their life.
quite annoying, especially with the "ooh hooh" from the background vocalists ...
Annoying and boring at the same time! Respect!
Why do I own no Ween?  I can't believe it.  I always like it when I hear it.
Been a fan since the early 90's.  LOVE this band.  Fun and crazy and intriguing.  And great to smoke weed to. {#Good-vibes}

I had never heard of Ween before I heard this tune on RP...that opened up the flood gates, I had moved to Seattle, WA and found that they are a favourite out there and I started to collect all their music...I especially like "Piss up a rope" but we'll never hear that one on RP.
Sounds a little like Guided by Voices. Pretty good.
