Mary, Mary
Come to me
Oh my Mary
Come to me
Oh sweet angel
Where will you be
When that devil comes for me?
Wandering days now
Got to end
Bottle's empty
And money's spent
Oh sweet angel
Where will you be
When that devil, devil comes to me?
My sweet Mary
Oh companion
I had my reasons
I'm still standing
South wind cold now
'round that tree
Oh sweet Mary
hear my plea
Come to me
Oh my Mary
Come to me
Oh sweet angel
Where will you be
When that devil comes for me?
Wandering days now
Got to end
Bottle's empty
And money's spent
Oh sweet angel
Where will you be
When that devil, devil comes to me?
My sweet Mary
Oh companion
I had my reasons
I'm still standing
South wind cold now
'round that tree
Oh sweet Mary
hear my plea

I'm interested in seeing him play, but my browser returns "dangerous website" for www.andersosborne.com. Any suggestions?

Once again for those in the back... If you get a chance to see Anders - he is probably one of the best live performers I have ever seen. He will leave you shook.

Totally thought this was a Little Feat offshoot. Not bad... a little self indungent on the lead guitar toward the end. :(

It's a real good imitation of a harder-rocking Little Feat.
Sounds it like would fit, and the next one would be faster, and the one after that and pretty soon you'd find yourself on your feet with everyone else, screaming for one more from the best live band ever to strap on a Strat. Need to go see him.

I believe RP was first broadcast in 2000?

Oh, and a solid 9 from me, right out of the box. Hurrah!
Edit: AMG says this was released in 1999.

Chris Whitley vibe..not quite as good for me..but nice!
I saw this guy live years ago at a festival in Minnesota. Awesome. He had a suzaphone player instead of a bass player. Mezmorizing.
Feeling a really strong Lowell George vibe here.
Something about that music that really does something to me.
dayum! he's hot!

...near the end of the work week, Friday at 3pm, and it's the perfect amount of skronkiness for me! It must have been a little too skronky last time I heard it, I had to bump my rating up one from 8 to 9; and as normal, BillG's pair this track with "Like Humans Do" by David Byrne and it's a great combo! LLRP!!

Now that's a funky, slinky, swampy groove; reminds me of Stevie Wonder from the 'Talking Book' and 'Innervisions' days.

Nice!!
Thought it sounded like hippie-'70s sound. The self-indulgent instrumental confirmed it... Imagine my surprise that it was released in 1999... Oh well, definately last century... Not bad if you haven't heard 18 too many self-indulgent inetrumentals too many... Enough does become too many.
I can't believe that I've been a RP listener for eight years and haven't heard this before now!
I popped in to see if this was indeed an overlooked gem from Mr. George. It is honest homage assuredly. Very fine.

I thought, hm, is this a long-lost Little Feat song!? But NO! Something new for me to explore! Long live Lowell George!
Lowell George reincarnated!
WOW. what year was this released? it sounds like real rock n roll, so it can't be recent... can it? is there hope?
hitting the Kalamazoo Blues Fest today..great way to get in the mood!!
A New Orleans favorite, nice to hear Anders this morning!
My list of music to buy just keeps getting longer... Adding this to it - really good schtuff!
what a great song to start the morning off in Southern California, makes the heatwave feel not so bad!
Kinda thought it was something from the new Clapton CD out today. It's supposed to be blues stuff from what I hear.
But on closer listen, I can hear it's not. I like it though!

Insta like!!
Either pretty much everything Bill is playing today is genuinely exceptional...
...or I'm bloody bored at work.
Could be both, I suppose - roll on the weekend and thanks RP.

Nice rhythm...beaty. Like being in some cool blues bar with a cool beer.
This sort of rhythm makes me want to strut down the pavement in time with it. Nice blues rock. 7 from the toe-tapping Nottingham jury.
Definitely thought it was Lowell George!

A mix between Eric Clapton and Paul Rodgers in his voice. Nice guitar work!

Ooh, I like this. Nice and gritty.
Nice!
I'm hearing some "Bad Company" in this voice... ...am I wrong...?
Not a hundred percent original but neither was Lowell- he just perfected his own special recipe. I like it though - pushes all the right buttons and the extra guitar candy tastes good too.
ah!!
saw them live. opening for john cale in pittsburgh in 1995 or 1996.
great stuff. nice people, too.
This is starting my morning off rockin........watch out boss don't %^7* with me today.
Great guitar and a similarly rated voice!
I miss Lowell so much I have to be careful what I rate this.
smooth. i like!
