Looking out my window
I see my world has changed
The sun won't rise this mornin'
'Cause my baby's gone away
Yesterday I could tell myself
That she'd be back for sure
But that train don't stop here anymore
Anymore
She used to go out with the girls
Every now and then
She always came home early
We'd jump in bed by ten
She'd tell me that she loved me
She would forevermore
But that train don't stop here anymore
Anymore, anymore, anymore, alright
Nothin' changes faster than baby's fickle mind
I know she's lovin' someone
Somewhere down the line
I know that she still has a key
I'm waiting by the door
But that train don't stop here anymore
Anymore, anymore, anymore, alright
She ran out through the back door
Screamin' in the night
She said I was the devil
I didn't treat her right
That man down at the station
Said "That was her for sure"
Now that train don't stop here anymore
Anymore, anymore, anymore, ah shucks
I see my world has changed
The sun won't rise this mornin'
'Cause my baby's gone away
Yesterday I could tell myself
That she'd be back for sure
But that train don't stop here anymore
Anymore

Chair dancing time!!
EXCELLENT!!! ...Reminds me of Little Feat!
Nice -- this driving sound reminds me of Pat Travers. Wonder if RP has any of his tracks. Love the song Boom Boom Out Go The Lights.
The Blues give me the Blues.

Guess I need to define "Garage Band". To me it 's a band that kicks ass with talent that retains the grit from it's beginnings. There are a number of great artists that can produce that energy without coming across as refined and smooth. You named good examples and I could add quite a few more but will say one of my favorites is Los Lobos and Neil Young.

Just saw them Friday night for the second time and heard this song live. Just as good if not better watching it be played.
Best garage band in america as far as I'm concerned. Hall of fame should be embarrassed and ashamed.

opened up our 'art town' in Reno - hadn't seen them in 25 years - man are they still good
never seen so many people at our river park!
Some of my favorite guitar work ever...brilliant!...rotovibe/wah-wah?
Los of love for Lobos.

Why would you call them a garage band? They're far far from being a garage band.

BOOGGIE!
Kiko is one of my top five all time favorites. Every cut is outrageously good. This one is s**t-kickin' blues! Another good album is "The Neighborhood".

Under-appreciated band forever. This train is rare indeed to hear played anywhere. Outstanding rhythm guitar......and not a trace of leonard coma-hen to be found!
Still not getting any work done.
IMHO, Conrad Lozano's bass, as in so many of the Lobos' work, is underappreciated. He holds the chord structure down and keeps time all in on swell foop.
Such a great album, start to finish.
Good for me, I am not working ...
Darn it Bill. How am I supposed to get any work done!

This is a dancing song...Get the feet moving and hips swaying... Lets dance-! In Sweden they dance at lunch... This is a good swing-your-honey song.... Thanks

That's because it's one of Cesar Rosas's songs. (He's the short, chubby one who plays guitar and always wears dark glasses. Cool guy, great singer.) Most of their best and most recognizable songs (think Will the Wolf Survive?) are written by frontman/virtuoso David Hidalgo and drummer-turned-guitarist Louie Perez. They are a dynamic songwriting duo in my opinion. Cesar's stuff is more stripped-down, simplistic bluesy romps - fun tunes, if that's your thing. For me they mostly serve as diversions from the weightier, more melodic Hidalgo/Perez songs that make up the bulk of their albums.
Doesn't sound like Lobos ...

Wow, shouldn't this song have a higher score? The comments seem favorable.
"She ran out through the back door Screamin' in the night She said I was the devil I didn't treat her right" LOVE THAT.
Good music... They are never leaving that "Bar Band" sound... and I appreciate staying true to roots vs the journey so many others have taken to oblivion

Just a fantastic morning set here today!
If you ever get the chance, see these guys play live. Their studio stuff is great, but they really, really shine on a stage! I saw 'em tour for this album in a small venue. They did a set plugged-in, then a set of Conjuto-style type stuff (which the crowd totally ate up!) then another set of rock. These guys just feed off an audience! Long Live Live Music!
Yeah, baby! The Lobos!
ow ow ow owooooo!
love them howlin wolves
This album...damn it this album...so good. Kill it boys.
Must buy snake skin boots...and a cigar
I think I've purchased all LL CD's save for 3 in the last 2 months, amazon.com has SO many used CD's that are a bargain.
Nothing like some toe-tappin' blues to liven up the afternoon!
Ok, that bit where he just said "Shucks!" in a lind of offhand moment . . . That slayed me. I live for stuff like that.

I just skimmed over the repies to see if anyone else heard Pat Travers.

Just saw them again on Saturday night here in L.A....best live band ever!!
Aaargh! Why always with the little Cesar Rosas ditties? I mean, everything they do is GREAT but jeez, they have so SO many better songs than this!
No, I don't know why it bothers me so much.
I've got to upload some Railroad Earth to be added to this set of train songs.......

True, maybe not the bad part. LL always sounds exactly how they want to. Masterful album by the way.

I love LL, but this particular cut reminds me of SRV and Double Trouble....a good thing.
Funny, I had to check and see if it was Harry Connick, Jr....
"Back on the Train" and then "That Train Don't Stop Here"??
uh oh...I feel one of Bill's "Crazy Train" convulsions coming on!!!! brace yourself!!!
I've always preferred the Hidalgo/Perez compositions to Cesar Rosas' stuff and that's true for everything on Kiko as well. Cesar has a beautiful voice (you don't really hear that in this track) and is a good guitarist, songwriter and all-around cool dude. But his rockabilly song style just doesn't blow me away the way David and Louie's stuff does. Not a bad song and not a dig on Rosas, I guess I'm just saying this is one of the last songs I would probably play from this amazing album if I were at the helm of the RP booth.
Overall Kiko is pretty brilliant and multi-faceted. Great stuff....
Stingray....we heard you. You're wrong. Your comment doesn't even make much sense. Just switch off, take some Valium and leave the rest of us to enjoy every moment of this great track. And stop shouting. Please.

brilliant... more more!

I'm glad that they've become "big" enough to be respectable throughout the years, but not so big that they ended up doing arenas and such. They're great at smaller venues.

Oh YEAH! The 2nd best song from the Kiko LP! (After Kiko and the Lavender Moon) (pimp)
Where's the emoticon for ?
More excellence from Los Lobos.
Great train set, Bill. Kind of ironic the last song in the set would be "That Train Don't Stop Here" ;-)
I certainly won't be the first to add a negative comment to the Lobos. Great stuff here.

Still none! A 9!
I liked this disc but never really liked this song. It is, nonetheless, a brilliant follow to the previous Phish song, also with hints of rockabilly. Kudos once again, Bill.

Rockabilly. Good toe tappin. Excellent.
Los Lobos is one of the best bands playing today. Truely great in concert!
What a great friggin album!
Sean
Oh Yeah,
This is the stuff....
It's got me dancin' :bananabanger:
Bill, is this your \"train set?\" First \"Back on the Train,\" now this cool tune. Go ahead, play \"Take the A Train.\" I dare ya. :D
Terrific!! This band can do no wrong. Also:check out their side project, Latin Playboys. I uploaded their tune, \"Forever Night Shade Mary\", and...well you know how it goes! But check it out! :)
Smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooth. :)
