All by myself.
No one to walk with,
But I'm happy
On the shelf.
Ain't misbehavin',
I'm savin' my love for you.
I know for certain
The one I love.
I'm through with flirtin',
It's you that I'm thinkin' of.
Ain't misbehavin'.
I'm savin' my love for you.
Like Jack Horner
In the corner.
Don't go nowhere.
What do I care?
Your kisses
Are worth waitin' for,
Believe me.
I don't stay out late,
Don't care to go.
I'm home about eight,
Just me and my radio.
Ain't misbehavin',
I'm savin' my love for you.
Ain't misbehavin',
I'm savin' my love for you.
This was probably record acoustically,
Iike direct to disc thru a horn.
YES! Very true!

Louisiana Fairytale
I was watching a local jazz band cover this song one Sunday, at brunch. The lead told a story about Fats going out and consuming a bit too much gin one evening. He ended up in the slammer. The warden was a big fan and had a piano shipped to the jail. Fats wrote this song at that time.
I can't confirm the story but I really like how it was told.
Kinda works- Ain't Misbehavin' in the confines of a jail.
Thank You for this story! ...true or not!
This deserves regular airing. It could replace any Radiohead song with no loss to the cosmic wonder of the universe.

Same here, rockaholic - in fact BillG could probably play FW and RH back to back and it would be goodness. Long Live RP and eclectic play lists!!
Thanks for honoring his memory, Bill.
Suggest Louis Armstrong Plays W.C. Handy - (Long Gone John).

You could say that about a recording of cats being fed into a woodchipper.

Awww. I love this AND Radiohead.
My dad was 2 and my mom was minus 5.
This track was likely mastered on a wax cylinder. Great fidelity, considering the technology.
More likely:
transcription recorder
But still, very good fidelity!

My mother was 9.
My grandparents hadn't even gone off to fight in their wars yet (WWII and Korea).

RP is simply awesome. So please Be Kind Rewind. Um, well play it again.
Try, "It's a classic"
A different Fats; both were good fun.
Hands up don't shoot
Fats Waller! and I thought he sang about Blueberry Hill, again & again, for 60 years! This is happy music.
Thank you!
And Your Feets Too Big (sorry about the punctuation!)
Sad
A TRUE Classic. It stays fresh and enjoyable in every age... and even in every time of day.
Plus they're having fun and it's infectious... enjoy the dance...!
Thank you!
Thanks Bill.
Now I need to go straighten my collar.
According to Wikipedia, this is the original recording from 1929. How does Bill find these things?
I didn´t realize they had best buy back then....
How I would have loved to meet this person....!
This wasn't my Ex-Wife's favorite song...
I guess you missed out on the free mp3 downloads he was doing the week before. Unfortunately, Best Buy will sell out of their digital time machines by mid-1930.
Thanks for the laugh!
I agree with this! :)
And some Art Tatum...
And Erroll Garner
A little more jazz would def be great......your library has some major deficits in this sector. Modern Jazz Quartet for a start..........

I Agree! That is why we come here. Thanx RP!
