''One, two
One, two, three, four
One, two.''

Measuring a summer's day
I only find it slips away to grey
The hours, they bring me pain.

Tangerine, Tangerine
Living reflections from a dream
I was her love, she was my queen
And now a thousand years between.

Thinking how it used to be
Does she still remember times like these
To think of us again?
And I do.

Tangerine, Tangerine
Living reflections from a dream
I was her love, she was my queen
And now a thousand years between.

Remember that Page said back in the day ,
this album was made to teach CSNY a lesson.
Was never a fan of his voice when it was young and certainly not now when it is old. Pretentious and not musical at all,

I agree!

Curious that they're tuned to 432Hz and not standard concert pitch of 440hz.
I really like this song, but every time I hear it I think it could have been produced better.

That reminds me when the radio station in my hometown played Ice Ice Baby 7 times in a row. Can I admit we freaking loved it?! (AND we were Zeppelin fanatics)

I've often wished for a repeat button here, but I think the reason there isn't one has to do with royalties - if rp plays it once but you repeat it 4 times, then that's 4 times the band misses the royalty payments.
Yeh Haw!
I love my Led Zeppelin with some good ol' Y' Alternative pedal steel!

I've wished we had this several times this week.
This one makes me sweat!
OMG, I've never heard this Led Zeppelin song before, and I love it. I guess it didn't get much radio airplay where I grew up.

You just described the best RP day ever.
This is a nice respite from the heavy, closed-room slugfest of Led Zep II.
Out.
Standing.
There will never be another band with the depth of Led Zep.
LOVED this album!  Might be their best.
Great song my favourite Led Zeppelin album!

That's The Way was one earlier, now we get Tangerine. Love it. Beautiful guitar tone in the solo.
Today it was:
Led Zeppelin — Tangerine

Robert Plant - Turn It Up
Radiohead - Lucky

Reflects Plant's and Griffin's relationship; Thom Yorke's sometimes comparison to Plant—especially in the high tenor/falsetto range; and a comparison between vintage Plant and Plant today. What he's lost in range and power, he's made up for with depth and nuance.

miss you so much, Cynaera...

everybody in my mushrooming multitude of churches be dancing buck ass naked all across the holy moly world like bowlegged gypsy muleskinners and B.F. Skinner...  we love this splendiferous song...  this whole album is marvelous...  love sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll...

thank you...
Imagine that...Patty Griffin and Robert Plant together....oh wait.

On the other hand, thanks Bill and 'Becca as I just wrote a song and was trying to remember last night the name of the Led Zep song that has a similar chord progression...couldn't do it.   Now.... Tangerine!
My undies are just fine, thanks, kurtster, but the spare production and casual vocal harmonies are absolutely intentional and underscore their desire to do "something different."  Can't hide the talent, though.  Guitar solo, for example, echoes the power-rock from LZ 2.

By the way, the twirly thing in the album cover kept me occupied for about 750 times that I listened to this.
Genius

One of my more favorite Zep songs.  A 9.

Somehow it comes up short in this segue as the preceeding songs are fuller and richer overall.  This version of Tangerine sorta sounds flat or dull in comparison to them.

Granted recording eras an all are different.

Just a passing thought.  Not meant to put anyone's undies in a bunch.

Bill's still referring to this marriage as of today. Apparently Plant's personal website states that they're married.

Led Zeppelin - The definitive dizz buster rock combo spawning a host of imitators.
I gave it a 9.
Then Jimmy's guitar solo kicked in and I got instant goosebumps making me realize beyond any doubt that it's a perfect 10.

Bills been on a LZ kick recently.  Seems like every time I tune in, I'll hear at least one.  Fortunately, I know by the time it starts getting annoying he'll get on another kick.

No kidding... and the Dark Side of the Moon album art is like the official, trans-generational, tee-shirt art of disaffected youth!

There was a high school kid at the rowing club the other day wearing a Dark Side of the Moon t-shirt.  I mentioned to him that I saw Pink Floyd when they were promoting that album on tour in 1973.  I'm not sure he believed me.

There's even a cycling jersey with the "Dark Side . . ." logo on it. I always think I'll end up with one some day, but they are too dark for safety.

I will admit I still wear my "Maximum R&B" T-shirt I bought at a Who concert in the late 70s.
