This song makes me think of my teenage children when they were small, and sleeping, and it fills me with joy for the people they are becoming and grief at how quickly it is happening.

Not applicable to this song, but to the comment thread on this site in general. Music is a horrible application of social media. It only makes sense when the goal is to be positive and discuss the song from the perspective of a fan. I never want to hear, not ever, why somebody thinks a song is bad. Even to venture forth such a comment is to show that you completely misunderstand how music works. It is to show you are narrow minded and can't understand why anybody would have different taste than you. Arguing about a merit of a song is about as stupid as arguing why vanilla is better than chocolate. With all due respect, before letting us know your nasty Yelp review on a song, consider just drinking a big cup of shut the fuck up first. Thanks.

Dunno who you may have been responding to but, I must say, well said! You might want to "save" that post as, there certainly are numerous posts that it would apply to! I guess I just might be surprised by the number of ADULTS that don't live by the lesson of, "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all!" Pretty sad, to speak negatively about a total strangers "work". Not a big "classical" fan but, this is quite nice.

Does anyone else hear the curse by josh ritter?

Say what you want about the genre but I found both the composition and the playing pretty interesting. Great dynamic range; it's just begging you to turn it up loud so you can hear the whole thing.

I  Agree completely!   ...excellent loud in FLAC with great equipment!

Every time I hear this song it stops me in my tracks and I just have to sit and listen.

Totally agree! Wanted to write something like this, but you've expressed it so eloquently that now I don't have to

SUPERB!! I never heard of her before.  Thanx RP!
During one of the lock downs I bought a 2nd hand piano. I find this song comforting and it is the first song i learned to play.

While I 100% agree that introducing the social media inspired like/dislike feature into the RP lexicon does zero to contribute to the discussion of the music presented, I think that debate over the music we hear is a valid pastime.

However, what I will agree with is the triteness and banality of the vast majority of the comments presented, both positive and negative, is a result of people's social media egos seeking affirmation.  The look-at-me-ness of "I saw these guys" or "my ears are bleeding".  Those comments need to be served the cup of what you are suggesting be served.  They provide little to add to the discussion of the art here on RP.

So, at the end of the day, I think we should encourage opposing views, not just an endless stream of pollyanna-ish platitudes.  And the comments should default to newest first, not the most popular.  And, maybe, just maybe, when someone has an opposing view, we should try to understand what they are hearing and see if we agree instead of dismissing them and smashing the thumbs down.  Just like real life....
Nice!

And in a topsy-turvy-pedal-to-the-metal world, it's also GREAT MUSIC for calming a restless spirit in the morning!

And, on a completely different mind-track it demonstrates that Quebec has much more to offer this planet than maple syrup and poutine
I totally second comment below.

I agree with your point so much!!!
I can thank RP for many artist discoveries with Helen Jane Long, Agnes Obel, Ludovico Einaudi, and Saudade by Thievery Corporation just to name a few in the minimalistic piano category (except TC) and perhaps this is another.

I don't know, it's a little boring, 80s "new age"? A little like practicing scales. Not sure why this trifle gets 7.7; the same as "King of Pain" that was played next.

So very peaceful in a time when calm is much needed.
Thank you Bill and Rebecca  for putting together such an assortment of music that's  always a unique playlist. I can always count on Radio Paradise for tunes that are a balm for the soul.

Sounds like the soundtrack to the beautiful My Octopus Teacher movie. Love the wonderful breaks in mood RP always provides.
Muzak
This is beautiful. The only place to hear this following Tom Petty is on RadioParadise. So this prompted me to donate again.
