Death cab anyone??
Echo and the Bunnymen anyone? I'm hearing strong echos from different bands in the mix and it's so good
can we have the lyrics, too?
They are in the Manual!
As much as I hate to say it a car company should use this song
Do you mean "abuse this song" ?
This is one of many songs over the decades paying homage to the iconic krautrock track "Hallogallo" by the band NEU! (the exclamation point is theirs, not mine). For other tracks inspired by this source, check out "Doors Unlocked and Open" by Death Cab for Cutie, "Rope & Summit" by Junip, and "Signify" by Porcupine Tree.
Thanks for the tips. Hallogallo is a great groove also. I'll check out the rest. Lay down a bass line and everyone sort of orbits that.
Sucks I never heard this even once back in the 1990s... radio stations instead decided I needed to hear Semi-Charmed Life and Under The Bridge 10 times a day.
Great Tune! Thanx To RP, Now you get to hear it in FLAC. That is why we come here. Thanx RP!
some of you are fucking annoying… always comparing one thing to another. it’s art… be in the fucking moment
Very well stated! ...maybe we should start comparing comments! LOL!
I would like to just enjoy this piece of music. Is that okay to you?
what is stopping you?... reading comments maybe?

I think a glass of wine is in order. People compare things in an effort to understand them. Understanding - give it a try.
GREAT TUNE! No lyrics? I guess they are in the manual!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yikes- looked over to the monitor expecting to see Sonic Youth but no...
And this is why I love RP; An ever expanding universe of music exposure never hurt anyone and now I have another band to explore. Love this, Bill. Thanks, buddy!
i thought so too!

I like this- I'm a strong believer, however, in the power of repetition. As an aside, this song does not sound like 1996 to me.
It's as if someone gave Phillip Glass a guitar and a mic.....
much less see them...?-)

Too Funny!!!
Did you get a manual?
yep. it's just one of those songs.

I listen to an online station originating in the US and hear, for the first time ever, bands from within 20 miles of where I live...
This is NOT the first... Ben Howard is another one and it was RP that got me to listen to Muse again.
Didn't realise the South West had so much more great music - must send RP a few more suggestions though!!
Read your comment while partaking in exactly that dance!
Thank you for that! Love it!
This got a lot of play on RP when I first started listening here but then it fell out of rotation. Good to hear this again.
How about some Spacemen 3 or Spiritualized?
But this is pretty good in the meantime.
Waiting patiently.
I wasn't paying attention and my first thought was "new Sonic Youth?" Eh, it's pretty good.
so how are the other songs??
+1
Except sadly, if memory serves, it turned out to be John Voight's LeBaron.
Catchy tune, by the way!
No, it doesn't have "exact same song structure", but there are a few spots that sound pretty similar.

If only PSD didnt take 10 clicks to rifle through.. well nothing different?
Find that PSD isnt different?
Actually it too is a broiler plate of overplayed music?
Reminds me of Televison and Tom Verlaine.

You can't believe everything a used car salesman tells you. I mean, "He only drove it around the White House." Really?
In this case, I do, too. I do, too. I do, too. I do, too. I do, too. I do, too. I do, too....
So wait... you bought this Pacifica from Gerald Ford?
Yeah, Gerald Ford the dentist. Who'd you think he meant?
