Favourite scriptures.... How about the Poetic Edda?
EP39: âNo great thing needs a man to give / Oft little will purchase praise. / With half a loaf and a half-filled cup / A friend full fast I made.â
So those who can wrestle with it can help those who cant?
Is that the objective God or the subjective god?
It would seem that for many, one is unbelievable and one is unbelievably cruel.
The question is where exactly do the choices we make fit into the puzzle?
No wonder so many attempt to not consider it at all. But then, how can a person not? It is incumbent upon man not to vainly attempt to live worth and meaning
into life, but to inhabit and care for the beauty that surrounds even the hatred and tragedy.
To express that form of LOVE in terms of meeting needs the best we can. That is where a Loving God is best expressed.
Who can save the world without saving their own ability to seek the beauty in it?

Don't stop there. Keep reading..."by which they may be exercised"
Or are you saying loving parents would never assign chores to their children?
Yes. This is a problem with a lot of people who misquote the Bible.
Things can be taken out of context easily.
Like "money is the root of all evil".
What it really says there in 1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
âEcclesiastes⬠â1:13â-â¬14⬠âNKJVâ¬
<13> And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised. <14> I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and indeed, all is vanity and grasping for the wind

Love that Ecclesiastes.
That Solomon was a wise guy.

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
Job 6:8-12 New International Version (NIV) 8 “Oh, that I might have my request, that God would grant what I hope for, 9 that God would be willing to crush me, to let loose his hand and cut off my life! 10 Then I would still have this consolation— my joy in unrelenting pain— that I had not denied the words of the Holy One. 11 “What strength do I have, that I should still hope? What prospects, that I should be patient? 12 Do I have the strength of stone? Is my flesh bronze?
2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
