Bowie badmouths it on the wonderful Storytellers show. That’s fun.
And here’s his delightful, moving rendition. Note how he steps off stage to let Mike Garson have the spotlight. And note how he hits the Mars dead on at 2:00. Genius. This whole show is worth watching. He’s in brilliant form and loving it.

Yup I agree, because Smooth Ease is something that goes plop in the toilet without much effort.

So the word, "smoothie," meaning foods and ice and whatnot put into a blender so that someone with a broken jaw can "eat" through a straw. That word is just wrong. I first heard it in the 70s and thought "man, that is a disgusting word for something you want me to eat." But over time I became inured to it and now I can say the word smoothie without giggling or gagging. Until now. A local specialty shop has opened and chosen to name themselves

Smooth Ease

and I just cannot.

For the record, it was a double pineapple pepperoni and it was good.

I'd tap that!
I would eat and enjoy nearly any combo of toppings (except fish) if it's really well made. All I can get delivered around here is round table and it's really sucky. They used to be somewhat tolerable but now they're nearly as bad as Little Seizures.

I heard on the news this morning (in Philly) that Denver has the second-longest stretch in recorded history without snow....233 days.  12 more to set the all-time record.

Denver's snow and cold are apparently in the UK, where it's going to be as low as -10C (14F).
