Turns out you can turn off auto renew, give yourself this as a gift and save yourself $27 next renewal.

Buy it for me.  I'll owe ya.  Pay ya back when the exchange rate closes towards reasonable.

(That'll be a loooonngg time now - expect to see the exchange rates stay around where they are going forward, as this current range is actually the usual normal)

Or trade ya in real beer from Canadia.

I would scoff because I've had beer from up there that was, well, Moosehead, but this summer I was introduced to some good stuff...

pffft.

$72 US is still $1,485 CAN at current exchange rates, or something.

Hmm, $90... it was better this summer.

Ah! But Prime in Canadia is $79 still, or like $65merkin

New members only, so maybe you could make a gift to a fictitious roommate, relative, pet or your imaginary BFF.

On Saturday January 24th, Amazon will make its excellent original series Transparent free to stream, even for those without Amazon Prime. More importantly though, Amazon is discounting Amazon Prime, the best deal in tech at $99, to $72 for the day. Prime is basically never discounted, and $72 is cheaper than the previous $79 that the service went for for years.

Wow! They did a lot of filming and work at Williamsburg. What I would've given to have been around the actors and those sets!

I am now a big Paul Giamatti fan. I had no clue how good he was.

Yeah, I like Giamatti very much and thought he and Linney were great together.

The actor I went to school with was also in Lincoln and The New World.

Great mini series.

And, small world note: the actor who plays the "smallpox doctor" I went to college, and acted with. He was a jerk, but very talented.

If you are an Amazon Prime member ($79/year)  along with free 2 day shipping on just about anything you order you now can get a number of free TV shows and movies streamed via a Roku or other video streaming device.

I took a quick look at what they are offering for free - a lot is already on NF but I did find one gem I have been looking for.  The TV series "Farscape" is available via the Amazon streaming but it is not available via NF.

I have had a Prime membership for 2 years and as I do most of my shopping via Amazon just the free 2 day delivery has been worth it but now an added feature - cool.
