Bruce Woolley was another of the writers of Video Killed. Hereâs his version, which is inferior.
Keyboards: Thomas Dolby, unknown at that point.
And then thereâs this glorious reunion of the band - performing it live together for the first time since recording it.
Bruce Woolley is up there in the front, too - and they donât spotlight him much until the end.
When she kicks in, solo, to tell us âyou arrrrrrrrre, the radio starâ and her voice hasnât changed in decades - I get a little verklempt.
And, youâre right! That IS Lol Creme from 10CC in there as well playing guitar! Well spotted.
Nice find! I didn't know Trevor Horn released a series of vids from the Prince's Trust concert.
Yeah, Bruce Woolley's versions aren't much to talk about. Here's his take on Clean, Clean:
And Buggle's / Trevor Horn's live take of Living In the Plastic Age at Prince's Trust. Complete fidelity to the original.

I don't know anything about this show but it's all Tom Petty covers on the soundtrack? Okay then.
The show is OK. There is a narrator that bugs the spouse... but the more recent shows are getting better. Vince Vaughan is exactly the character you think he is... but so far...so so.

Vince Vaughn is a guilty pleasure (he's actually pretty interesting - his episode of 'The Interview' on nytimes is fantastic). Having a soundtrack of Tom Petty covers seals the deal.
Tom Petty is also a bit of a guilty pleasure. He died the same year that Bowie and Prince did, but I was astonished how much more of a loss Petty felt. How many Tom Petty songs are there that you do *NOT* know the lyrics after the first note?
Ha! Hadn't heard of this movie! Big fan of Sigourney. Checking out the cast, I also see Ray Liotta and ... Shawn Colvin ! Going to have to watch it now!
Buggles - The Age of Plastic - is one of my all-time fave albums! Every track is a gem! My least played though is Video Killed the Radio Star, as its been so over-played all these years.
And so you made me go down the rabbit hole of great covers. You're welcome!
