She sees the world through rose-coloured glasses
Painted skies and graceful romances
I see a world that's tired and scared
Of living on the edge too long
Where does she get off telling me
That love could save us all
Save us all

She takes my hand and leads me to nowhere town
No matter where I stand it's always neutral ground
And in the cool of the evening blue
I feel so tired and alone
Where does she get off telling me
That love could save us all
Save us all

And it's day after day
I keep hanging around can you tell me why
Night after night I know I should leave
But there's something in those eyes
That keeps me hanging on I'm hypnotised
It breaks my heart and I don't know why
Tell me why tell me why

She sees the world through rose-coloured glasses
Painted skies and graceful romances
See a world that's tired and scared
Of living on the edge too long
Where does she get off telling me
That love could save us all

And it's day after day
I keep hanging around can you tell me why
Night after night yeah I know I should leave
But there's something

Day after day after day after day
And I don't know
Day after day after day after day
And I don't know why

Further to that, the album this is off is Outskirts, their debut album.

so nice to hear Blue Rodeo on RP. They have quite an extensive repertoire,  definitely worth exploring.  We first saw them oh so  so many years ago opening for k.d. lang when she was still in her cow punk phase,  they were impressive then, and only have gotten so much better. Risking criticism for the hyperbole, but Greg Keelor an Jim Cuddy are the Lennon and McCartney of recent Canadian rock.

I’m criticizing your hyperbole, and I don’t even like the Beatles. I agree, though, that Cuddy and Keelor  (and Blue Rodeo generally) are Canadian pop icons.

This has been a long time coming, but they certainly had better tunes than this.
nice to hear some good ‘ol Canadian boys on RP!
Hadn't had the chance to hear this until now. Nice to keep adding music (new or old) to the rotation!

I've heard of the band Blue Rodeo but never listened to any of their music. Now I have, I think I rather like it!
