Although I'm a Nederlander, I've (unfortunately) never heard of Eefje before. Thank you for playing!
Am I wrong or is this the first song with Dutch lyrics ever played on RP?
I know there is a Doe Maar song somewhere, but that's the instrumental one.
A grand surprise to hear this.
Nice song too :)

Thumbs up if you could guess what Eefje was singing about!
I saw Eefje 6 times from the end of 2024-2025. She is brilliant…
Thank you Bill!
Thank you Bill!
very nice indeed
Never would have expected this on RP and yet ... I am not surprised. Thanks Bill for again (and again) help me get exposed to music I haven't heard before and turn out to love & appreciate!
Shmoogle shmamlate for us mono lingual savages:
It's almost evening It doesn't matter much Everything is the same And we're different It doesn't matter and you paint us gray In winter it gets cold and when the snow melts Then I drive south I have something to prove here It's almost summer Every season is the same It doesn't make much difference You draw the year as a straight line In winter it gets cold and when the snow melts Then I drive south I have something to prove here Then I drive in your car I have a point to make

Eefje de Visser - a Dutch artist, new to RP (?) and to this Dutchman: thanks for the introduction William! Love the smooth sound, enough to check out the rest of the album. “Ongeveer” translates as “Just About”, which aptly describes where I am understanding what Eefje is singing about.. gimme time 😅
I love Eefje!!! I have seen her 5 times in the last year. Alone or with her band she is brilliant!
Thanks Bill! And please play more from Heimwee! Brilliant album!
