I generally don't like country, but one of my daughters was listening to this a while back, and it really caught me off guard. Glad to hear it here. I dig it.

Wow. This sounds a lot different than his last few records. He really leans into the cowboy-on-the-trail vibe these days. This is good but I really like his current vibe.
.....this Canadian prairie lad delivers the goods....

Good description. I watched/listened to a full concert of RWH a while back, just him and his guitar sitting on a stool. A lot going on there.

I hear a less gruff Ray Wylie Hubbard. Not so much the voice as the song structure.

His more recent work is even better. I had the pleasure of producing a show at which he performed. He is polite and considerate, and the real deal.

First heard this in the Sound Track of Hell or High Water. Punches me every time I hear it.
This is great!!!
Why does he sound like an fellow Australian? I like it because or in spite of that I don't know.
Wow - very nice.
Solid young guy from Swift Current Saskatchewan!
It's got good grit.
Another song with no reviews? Strange song.. reminds me of my days in Appalachia...

Hominy or homily?
