There are some times when the day is gone,
In my darkest hours waiting on the dawn,
Wondered if we're going to make it out alright,
Of this cold and lonely world out in the night.

Then I see your blue eyes and then,
A good friend of mine,
The sun is shining brighter everyday,
The sun is shining brighter everyday.

I wish you luck,
I wish you the best,
I wish your kids were having fun,
Having happiness,
Cause what you've got is hard to find,
And it gives a lot of hope to this heart of mine.

Then I see your blue eyes and then,
A good friend of mine,
The sun is shining brighter everyday,
The sun is shining brigher everyday.

The sun is shining brighter everyday,
The sun is shining brighter everyday,
The sun is shining brighter everyday,
The sun is shining brighter everyday

Lookout pandemic up ahead
A 7 for likeability and the artist name
Goes on my songs of mindless optimism playlist.

The sun is currently a G2V main sequence star with ~73% hydrogen remaining, so it is indeed getting brighter every day - though by only about 1% every 100 million years, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Thanks, sjcroquet, for relieving a load of anxiety from many of us!

As I pass 67 years old (my God, can that be true?!?!) I sweat a lot less about things that won't happen in my lifetime.
i put this right up there with Hootie and the Blowfish

Understood.  Thanks.
What a fantastic segue from the surreal Rostam's "Wood" to this upbeat Trout Steak Revival song.  Nice job RP!

If the sun is shining brighter every day that would be cause for great concern.

I try to like this song, but the chorus just sounds like it should be on an ad for an prescription allergy medication.

Hmph. I rated this a '2' once. Must have been a combination of the chorus and a bad mood, and the band name. It's not bad at all.

It's too happy and positive to appreciate it when your in a bad mood.

Repetitive, uninspired, cookie cutter hillbilly song. Had to fill an album so just so dumped this one on us.  They got paid for this!
10 from me
One of my favorite songs of all time. Definitely helped me through the pandemic times - and continues to. When people are looking for a pick-me-up - I send them This Song!
This is one of my aspirational return to the “before times” theme songs.
This is a nice fun song. WRT earlier post my brother lives on the shores of Kootenay Lake, and we spoke on the phone today. Brightened my day. 😎
Am I hearing two different songs at the same time?

Spent 10 weeks crossing Canada from Vancouver to Toronto last year; the journey through the Kootenays and Icefields Parkway were awesome, very invigorating!
Yeeeeeeeeereeee. Haaaaaaaaaa Sweet kind song
My son's favourite air-banjo song.
Trout Steak Revival info site, I hope it's ok
I do enjoy a good stout trike revival.  ; p

8 for the song.

I would think once a trout has been made into a steak, it would be very difficult to revive.
I used to volunteer at Swallow Hill Music, where Trout Steak Revival played regularly. I worked their merch table a couple times. I overheard a band member say that a father of a member is an illustrator. He created a drawing of a trout that was cut into segments. That's where they got the name. I used to have a sticker with the drawing on my truck. Colorado sun and winter, vehicle stickers don't last long. So glad they are doing so well. Very nice people.

Wish I could tune my guitar this well. Love me some Trout Steak!

Are these guys associated with Elephant Revival?  They're both from Colorado and sound vaguely similar.
Let's see if I've got this right...."the sun is shining brighter every day"? {#Think}

I guess 'steak' was more impressive than just 'fillet'.

Waiting patiently for a new alt-country indie band called:  The Trout Fillet Revival.
Thanks, Bill. Got a new roommate, bit of trouble with the missus, Trump's going to be Pres... needed a happy, hopeful message real bad, this morning. :-)

Yup, nothing like a fresh rainbow trout steak on the BBQ {#Cheesygrin}
Great band name.
Yessssss!

I'm a sucker for bluegrass (or bluegrass inspired) music.  An 8 for me.

I saw Left over Salmon what seems like 25 years ago in Baltimore at the 8 x 12.  That was a great show.  These guys were fun sounding and do a good job.
Definitely TOE TAPPIN
Very worthy of the RP playlist !
reminds me of the Steeldrivers first album/cd
that's a good thing
This is a nice start to the day {#Sunny}
Normally, not the kind of tune I'd tune into, but I rather liked it.
I was coming up the stairs after an afternoon coffee in the living room with my wife. It's been a happy day, and I entered the den as this song was playing. Thanks for the intro to a nice new Bluegrass band!

Hey Bill, howzabout some Jason Isbell or Chris Stapleton. Great new talents.
Excellent Mountain Bluegrass

These guys could kick some Mumford a** if they'd just CRANK UP THAT BANJO!

Yeah, once that elephant was finally revived trout steak was the obvious next choice.
