oh,
you're gonna lose your soul, tonight.
you're gonna lose your soul,
you're gonna lose your soul,
tonight, tonight.
oh,
you're gonna lose control, tonight.
you're gonna lose control,
you're gonna lose control,
tonight, tonight, tonight.
i get up in the morning
to the beat of the drum
i get up to this feeling,
keeps me on the run.
i get up in the morning,
put my dreams away,
i get up, i get up, i get up again
you're gonna lose your soul, tonight.
you're gonna lose your soul,
you're gonna lose your soul,
tonight, tonight.
oh,
you're gonna lose control, tonight.
you're gonna lose control,
you're gonna lose control,

i get up in the morning,

i get up, i get up, i get up again

Well...the first 30 seconds do nothing for me. Come to think of it...the next 30 don't either...heck the whole thing is mediocre and does nothing for me. I like the song title...does that count?
meh
Not bad.
Switches to another channel for a while. The clapping and puberty school choir grates too much.
Ok!! - I get it: "I am going to lose my soul..." - WOAHHH so soon as TONIGHT!!....while a bit quirky, sexy voiced, this song really lacks substance.
Ryan is no Dylan or Leonard Cohen; he is a wanna be kewl Justin Timberlake.
I agree that the hand-clapping annoys - perhaps Ryan could have taken that aforementioned meat cleaver to the guilty clapper.

Everybody in my churches loves this song...
Is there any way to stop the hand-clapping, short of a frenzied five minutes with a meat cleaver?
Quite a production!

It is hard to listen to Ryan here. Makes me feel like I have wasted my life. I would really hate it if he were great. I'll give him a chance though.
Phew! For a second I thought I was going to have yet another reason to feel utterly inferior to Mssr. Gosling. But, as with any actor, style replaces substance and the absense of a writers touch leaves fans wanting.

This song is quirky and cool... I like that piano playing a lot— percussive, with nice chord progressions...
Sounds like Elvis meets the Polyphonic Spree

This song woke up my cat.
First heard this on the trailer for the upcoming Showtime series, Ray Donovan. Had no idea it was Ryan Gosling singing...

Growing on me...love the intro

Wait, did he say Ryan Gosling?!? He could be the next Hugh Jackman - actor/singer.

I like Gosling, the movie "Lars and the Real Girl" is very good.

I was prepared to dislike this song, but it's really good. Very different...
Seriously? Ryan Gosling in the music world? Wow!
Gosling looks like he's missing a chromosome or two, but this is rather good.
Yikes! Cool song... we be dancing with wanton abandon...
Hm. Expected this to be another actor's bad side project, but I was wrong. It pulled me in - very intriguing. Want to hear more.
So this is Ryan Gosling the actors band. Unusual sound.
Who are the Bones and why didn't I hear them before?
EDIT: OK, Ryan Gosling, now I get it...

The singer sounds like he's channeling Mark Sandman.
