Who will light your path
Through the night?
When you travel the marshes
Toward which light
Will your turn your eyes?

When you hang in the void,
To whom will you call?
When you have no pillow,
where will you
Lay your head?

Who will light
Your path
Through the night?
Toward what light
Will you turn?

The night is full of sounds,
But can you recognize
The right one?

The night is full of lights,
But which light
Is the light of your eyes?

And who casts the hook
For night waters
Into your mouth?

Who follows you close
As you walk
Along your way?

Who will light
Your path
Through the night?
Toward what light
Will you turn?

Which teeth white and rabid
From loneliness and hunger
Sink into your flesh?

Who will cut the ties
What a sharp
Invisible knife?

Who will light
Your path
Through the night?
Toward what light
Will you turn?

Who will wait for you
At the crossroads
At midnight?
Toward what light
Will you turn?

That's fine if this isn't your cup of tea, but you clearly don't understand the definition of "whiny".  This most certainly is not.

Well, what doesn't?

I liked it. Her voice is wonderful,
drumming my fingers...impatiently waiting for this to end. Not feeling this tonight.

This sounds like computer generated music.  Blah.  Too perfect.  4.  I'll give it time though.  We'll see.
Hmm...seems to be trying too hard to be Leonard, IMO.
Whiny and annoying.
They tried too hard with this one. It's drawn out and the lyrics hang like twigs that keep catching me in the eye!
9.

Obviously I thought this was The Walkabouts at first - have to check out this solo effort.

Lloyd Cole anyone?

yep thats what i heard too but only in the early part of the song
The moment I heard it I thought " I know those voices and that style, a quick look in my CD collection, and Yes, Chris Eckman is from  The Walkabouts .
Reminds me of that guy singing about the nun breaking down on the side of the road on the way to choir practice at the men's prison.  Who was that?  hmmm   Richard Shindell.  That's it.
Poor man, born with Roger Waters' voice and range....
Music & vocals: Chris Eckman
Text: Dane Zajc (Slovene poet)
Vocals: Chris Eckman and Anita Lipnicka

Kinda ponderous for my taste, especially early in the morning in my office. {#Confused}
I think she sounds a bit like sinnaed O' Connor.like it for sure.
Lloyd Cole anyone?

Absolutely! I was wondering if this was the same duo.

A little bit of Cohen, a little bit of Cave, but never excelling past the reach of either on its own. Just a little bit of pablum. Meh.
Sounds like Leonard Cohen to me. Not that there's anything wrong with that :-)

Hmm, says he's from the Walkabouts...not Swedish.
I like it in the first few seconds—-oh yeah are they Swedish? I like this Swedish stuff that gravitates toward the darkness.
Dark and brooding but profound and melodic. I like.

I agree, though unlike Cohen, this is tolerable.
Yep, this is going on the Zombie Apocalypse soundtrack.

Dark...I like.
