They're all flashing past
So many others moving so fast
I feel my heart smoke
As we go under it and bow down
Nothing left on this island
Upon steel on steel
Through these cuts in me
Ive no question who was here first
Many dreams many lifetimes
Any of which could be me
'cept that I'm the one unable to move
Upon this machine
Upon this machine

Pardon caravan emotion
Loaded crowds just like me
I fell between the moments
I fell between the endings
Cuz when it runs around the windows
Nothing here is still
All the paths have collided
Through all these villages and hills
So many dreams so many lifetimes
Any of which could be me
'cept that I'm the one unable to move upon this machine

Theres no one else, no one else,
no one else, no one else.
Theres no one else, no one else,
no one else, no one else.

Theres no one else,
no one else, no one else,
no one can help me now
Help me Im stuck in this moving thing
Nothing is what it seems
No getting off this machine

YES!!
And I type this on the eve of "It was Midnight,  on the 12th of August" happy to hear that WotW reference, as the Persied showers are peaking this weekend, a wonderful way to remember fiction written centuries ago!!

LLRP!!

This is why I LOVE Radioparadise! I had never heard of this band, but now I have done a deeper dive and now have another “fav” artist! I get kind of a Pink Floyd vibe from these guys which is not bad at all!
Mondegreen time...I keep hearing the last lines as "the promise machine," which is weirdly appropriate.
Love the way this songs shifts moods
Reminds me a lot of the The Alan Parsons Project (i.e. Pink Floyd lite). Anyone remember him? He was also the sound engineer on Dark Side of the Moon.
This song did not play for some reason, despite refreshing my browser 3x; had to skip ahead
Bleak yet sexy. Morrissey was good with that, er, sensation.
Always loved this!
When I read the lyrics, this song grew on me.
After a hit of Hidden Pastry, I find this to be very tasty food for the neurons, indeed, Captain! This hits me deep, like a kind of Alan Parsons-techno-Floyd, and leaves me utterly Schpongled, ~Dig...
So glad to have this back in regular rotation.
Very trippy song.  8->9.  Oh yeah.
very Pink Floyd...Great production. Very dynamic high quality recording  too!

Exactly. And I've just injected my 4:20 dose of marijuanas!  (See below.)

So much love for this song. Love that too.

I lived in Scotland for a year and would walk to uni. The road that took me there was lined with Japanese cherry blossom trees. What a treat on the brisk spring mornings.  One of the best times of my life. It's funny how this song sort of feeds into these memories. It normally works the other way round.
Thanks for keeping it in rotation. :)

This was a band I never got enough of, and back in 2016 I was wishing this group was still together.

Well here we are.  More content please!! :)

Outstanding playlist Rebecca! Is why I donate.
It looks as if I've only joined recently, but I've been an RP fan for over 10 years now. On those days when I'm undecided what to listen to, I just turn on the puter and click! Most days actually ;-)

HITS ME LIKE A SHOT OF TEQUILA; leaves me trying to figure out what's moving, where we're going, and when it all will stop...  Dig!

"the old lady dentist"?  Gotta love those mondegreens...
Pretty universally liked here on RP...a rarity for the almost complete lack of 1's, 2's and 3's....not many tracks don't at least ruin 10% of the listening audience's day by being played against their wishes...

Lekker nummer
Another song by a band I would of probably never of heard if not for RP! I love every song I have heard by them. Kind of surprised this wasn't a sound track form Snowpiercer. Thanks Bill and Rebecca
Man, that is one most excellent & moody AF song!

If ya don't know, leave it alone!! More for the users who use, for more than just "stoned" purposes!!

Younger Brother is exceptionally talented at making me want to sit and vibe and sing along and perhaps comment about it…
This song makes me want to do something street. Rather than go to the country club pool.
The Bourne theme is in there somewhere....I think...  I like it.

Never heard of this band but I like the sound - a bit Porcupine Tree, and that's A Good Thing.
If you guys like this then really check out their first 2 albums, Vaccine is good but it's not a patch on Last Days of Gravity and A flock of Bleeps.

Simon Posford has done so much good stuff - I hear Shpongle on RP all the time - but In Dub by Hallucinogen and Hicksville by Celtic Cross have the most YB feel to his earlier stuff. Simon Posford is an electronic genius. Almost everything he has touched is electonic gold.

Sure, but then PF is no longer with us, so carry on Younger Brother.. Love this, and could only imagine how cool it would be to hear it sitting on a fast train staring out the window.
For an all-day train trip from Cartagena to Madrid this song was perfect.

I was about to post that I have been upvoting many, many songs that I have on my favorites playlist just because I enjoy listening to them. Anyone remember "Seasons in the Sun."

You bastard. I'm gonna have that dreck stuck in my head all day.

BTW, I've never heard the B-side of SitS, but I've been told it's even worse. I think it's called 'Leave the Bone In'. Make of that what you may.
This isn't my usual style of music (electronic), but this is pretty cool.
c.
If you dig this, scope out Departure from the Northern Wasteland by the genius progenitor of this genre, Michael Hoenig
How can I upvote this song from a 10?  Every time I hear it I go into the space of "wow".

Exactly, all music is derived from music which preceded it.  It's a pretty cool sound that these guys make.  Anyhow, the cover design for this album was done by Storm Thorgerson, who also designed many covers for Pink Floyd, as well as many other recording artists.

Oh, and while I was looking for that confirmation I found an interview Younger Brother did with Thorgerson. Dunno if it's any good yet, but I'm saving it for later.
Check the "The Last Days of Gravity" cover. Pure Storm

this just does not get old!
I just snortred some marijuana myself.

I thought I'd finally heard a good song from Train since their first album  but no, this couldn't come from Train, only their younger brother.
Works just fine in bright, sunny 80 degree weather for me, You just need to turn the volume way up :-)

I was in a club half a dozen years ago, trying to hold a conversation with a friend in the mid-afternoon when the dj cranked up this track to 11.
had no choice but to listen, enjoyed it ever since.

I rode trains almost daily in my 20 years in Japan, and all around Asia and Europe, too... This song really conveys the kinetic concepts!
9 -> 10
'bout damn time too
I just watched Stranger Things on netflix (it's pretty good, btw) and the theme music is so similar to the intro to this song I had to check if Younger Brother did the score.  Turns out it is a band called Survive.  I haven't explored any of the rest of their catalog yet.

That's the end of that story... I know it didn't have much of a point, but not all stories do.
Doubter Thomas sings; one dot, two dots, and already in love.
