She was hell on her mama, impossible to please
She wore out her daddy got the best of me
And there's something about her
That only I can see,
And that's good enough

You're barefoot in the grass, and you're chewin' sugarcane.
You got a little buzz on; you're kissing in the rain.
And if a day like this don't ever come again
That's good enough.

Good enough for me
Good enough for right now, yeah
[Repeat]

God bless this land, God bless this whiskey
I can't trust love
It's far too risky.
If she marries into money
She's still gonna miss me
If you can read it, it's not the original one
And that's good enough
Gonna have to be good enough

Good enough for me
Good enough for right now, yeah
[Repeat]

Yep, fantastic! Best live shows I've ever seen were Tom and or the Heartbreakers. So amazing live! Longest soundchecks...the man cared about how it sounded live then and there. And it sounded good. Really good.
OK. Missed it evidently. Love it. Not the first time RP has brought this and similar to my attention.

Namaste Tom.

yeah, i thought so too. it was nice hearing this after a david gilmour song today.

i like that RP plays tracks like this from Tom Petty and not just the classic radio hits we all have heard a million times.

Really good! How about some Gary Moore, for some heart-on-the-sleeve guitar?
Great segue from Roy Buchanan, Mike's soulful playing trace a direct line back to Roy's.
i am sure it's no coincidence that Roy Buchanan was prior to this number

similar guitar tone / playing!

Well done!!!!

Wow B&R!
You ground a fine point on that pencil.
Roy Buchanan followed by this somewhat rare gem from the Mr. Petty.
OK. I get it now...
I am in awe of your associative powers.
Very well done.

Ten years. That's a long time to be non-committal.

Ouch.
Good enough indeed!!
Of course I'm hearing Jimmy Page here and that is just fine with me!
Great album. Not the best song but it definitely does not suck. Solid 8

You mean "Since I've Been Loving You" and yeah I hear a bit of it in this too.

Coming along in a set including Pink Floyd's jamming "Pigs (Three Different Ones)," this makes a KILLER BLUESY GUITAR statement
I'm hearing a little of Jimmy Pages' "keep on luvin you babe' in this.
Love this!!!!
Sounds like my day today...enjoying it...

Ok dude, we understand you
Dude better learn how to play that guitar.
Was almost expecting to see Gary Moore's name in the credits ...
Hints of Jimmy Page in that lead.
She's so heavy.
About time. Play more rock. The good stuff!!
Incredible!
Best Heartbreakers song in decades

Everybody in my mushrooming multitude of churches loves this song...

The Mojo album is loaded with great blues and soul laden songs.  It reminds me of a DVD set I boutght that I couldn't find available on CD or for sale as MP3s.  ...If you like Mojo, check out their Sound Stage DVDs, a great mix of covers, hits and unreleased songs – includes some extended solos as well!  Amazon.com: Soundstage Presents: Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers - think I'll go watch it again now!  {#Arrow}
Time to run to the freezer.  Vodka!
{#Daisy} what a song! I can't believe this is from 2010, sounds so much older. Thanks RP, this band seems to be my discovery of the decade!

PSD.....
Remember Mudcrutch...neighborhood band....Gainesville FL....70's..........stil rockin.....
This Band gets better with age ! One of my favourite albums of 2010. What a shame Bands like The Rolling Stones cant reproduce the classic albums thet they released in the late 60's to mid 70's.
Smokin' Good that is!
Smokin'!
Definitely put me in mind of Since I've Been Lovin' You, and I also hear She's So Heavy. And, it's a great track in its own right.

You're comparing this album to Roy Buchanan?  Wow.  I'm a big fan of both, but this album was a little bit of a let down for me and I don't really see the comparison.  Mojo kinda bored me though I don't know why.  Roy and Tom (& Co.) are certainly two artists though!

Ahhh, very nice... First I've heard this and I think I will have to head over to download it!
Now THAT'S a guitar-sonic-o-rama. Terrific lyrics. Whiskey and risky.
F-ing LOVE this. thanks!
Friday afternoon (15:42) and I've got the blues: GREAT!! Blueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzz!

Noise noise and the last 3 minutes of noise.
It's Friday, it's good enough, it's going to 10. Great album. {#Motor}

IMHO, one of the very best and vastly underappreciated. He's spent a career punctuating Petty's songs with precision and taste, and now he gets a chance to cut loose on of all things a blues album. I don't get it, but I love it.

QUITE GOOD

What the Hell man?? This is really good, messing with my world paradigm, Tom Petty is not so supposed to be good anymore, he needs to stop right now. 8!{#Bananajam}
Great great guitar work.  Love Mike Campbell.
I kept my fingers off the keyboard until the end of the song..  and then all they wanted to type was........... WOW
excellent, sultry tune {#Motor}{#Cowboy}
I've always enjoyed Mr. Petty..that has not changed....she's so ______

Great!  From those opening chords all I could think was -

Town Without Petty?  Solid 9.

Really like this cut!

I was thinking the same thing (about the Beatles...I generally can take or leave Petty...though this is good).

Album just arrived from Amazon, like ten minutes ago.
Curses to the DJ that keeps me spending money  {#Roflol}

Well, this is certainly more than good enough! I am looking forward to see this native of FL and his band playing live! {#Devil_pimp}

These guys rocked the house when I saw them this summer.  What an amazing album, too!
A great blues, very well produced, good enough!
Good enough for me. A great tune from another good Tom Petty album.
Yet another song from the Mojo album that I love. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers started out wondering if they had what it would take to "make it" in the music world. "Mojo" proves that they had it, and still do have it. This has got to be their best work so far.  Methinks Mr. Petty has found the elixer of life and has shared it with his bandmates. No matter - they've always had the edge. From "Listen To Her Heart" to "Rebel," Petty just nails the music.

Dang - I think I'm in love. *girlish giggle*
Finally, a good guitar solo!

Enjoy Tom Petty but the guitar solo is almost good but too darn classic big-ego, macho solo guitar.
Wow, every song I have heard off this album rocks!  Looks like im going to have to DL the whole thing.
Reminds me of Gary Moore in reflective mood

YES!!!....YES, OH YES!!!

Never liked Tom Petty, but with this latest album he is convincing me more and more... Think i'll have to check this album!

New TP? Cool!

Interesting choice!  The last tune on the album, too!

Too bad we won't be hearing on "classic rock" stations. Petty is still rockin'! {#Dancingbanana}
Jeez how old is this dude.  Or these dudes.  This rocks!
I also hear "STYX" in the solo and the backgrounds.

Great tune.
Two,edit eight"somethings"bothered to rate this a #1 !!!{#Stupid}

First time today that I'v reached for the volume and turned it up !
Love the B3 !
From the opening notes, I thought this was The Raconteurs.  Very pleased to see it was Petty.
 I heard that too.  A little Jimmy on another tune as well.

I am really enjoying TPHB's new direction. A definite must-buy CD.
I'm hoping the the rest of the album is this good.
Still kind of pissed I spent money on Mudcrutch.

Yeah, it's traditional minor-scale blues, like "I Put A Spell On You" and many others.  Petty has always worked in the "roots" sound anyhow; no one ever expected him to do experimental stuff.  Quite a good tune - great guitar work.

I too hear the "I Put A Spell On You" inference and I agree with your conclusion.  Worthy effort.  I like it.

Mike Campbell can do no wrong.  In 30 years with Petty he has just taken us higher and higher. He's truly a vastly underrated axe man. He and Petty have their MOJO cookin'. {#Cheers}
Thanks Heartbreakers, you just sold another copy of your new album (prolly clean the shelves off with  this one .)
THANKS !
