Hot clubs and endless nights
Hot clubs and endless nights
Hot lies and alibis
Dark days seem light years away

I can see through your lies, 'cos you've got moped eyes (x2)

Safe house for suffering
Shitbags and shattering sighs
Sore eyes, mosquito bites
Zip up and zigzag away

I can see through your lies, 'cos you've got moped eyes (x2)

Hot wheels at traffic lights
Hot deals, transactional rights
From middle age sophisticates
To stone aged reprobates

I can see through your lies, 'cos you've got moped eyes (x2)

Squinty Eyes... something I've experienced since birth, not drug induced ;o)
Nice!
I am liking the Super Furry sound more and more as I go through their catalogue. I bought this cd a while ago and it is still in rotation at Poacher mansions after hearing it first here. Splendid stuff.

Woah!
Rich, tasty analog goodness, but too many servings may cause clogged arteries.
Still can't get over my kneejerk tendency to hear "Jane's getting serious" everytime this comes on.
Sounds silky smooth..............Check out their Album called Love Kraft..........its really great!

Aliens ate my Buick.

Kinda boring.
Simply cool...nice, groovy smooth feel to it. That's all there is to it...no more posts are needed...:)

Thank you for being so eloquent!  I agree with you btw...{#Meditate}

Really good stuff.  I definitely heard some Bowie influence in this song, and sure enough the next song was Bowie's Golden Years.
Kinda funky. Made me look.

Dunno, but mopeds are apparently terrible liars.
Cool song!

That's a Klingon, not Robin Hood.  I get those two mixed up all the time...

I like this song ... I guess I like this band ...
Way too long. Ya lost me.

They are almost the same as "vespa eyes"

Bill's got da funk goin' on this morning. Nice way to get going on a lazy day.

I don't know what 'moped eyes" are either, but I do like this song!{#Dancingbanana}

I'm a HUGE SFA fan....and an even bigger Gruff Rhys fan, but this song is not one of my favorites. It's good, but there are better ones. Give their other songs a chance.....you will be glad you did. They rock!  Especially the live shows.....{#Dancingbanana_2}
What music genre is this?
Cute, but potentially wearing.

Frontman Gruff Rhys told The London Times March 20, 2009 that there is no such thing as an ambiguous Super Furry Animals lyric. He said: "I don't like leaving songs open to people's interpretation because I think it's a cop-out. It takes the p—s out of the listener if you don't know what you're singing about." As a consequence Rhys has been forced to superimpose a meaning on to this song. He said uncertainly: "I think we decided that moped eyes were bloodshot eyes."

This is one great example of unintended self exposure. Thanks for making me laugh by butt off!

Oh: good tune, by the way. Crispy sound.

Just saw an old episode of Jools Holland on which SFA performed.  Didn't know the song but their vocals and musicianship was really excellent!

Agreed. I tend to like it a little less every time I hear it. Plus I find it overplayed here and it has a terrible habit of sticking in my head.

5 today but probably lower tomorrow.

And I know what you're thinking!
It comes as no surprise!
Christmas lights are blinking!

And I'm so curious
And I'm so curious
And I'm so curious
And I've got moped eyes! Hey!

Ohhhhhhh, SUFFRAGETTE!

(Bonus points to anyone who gets the reference)
I don't think this song warrants daily play.  In fact, I think I've heard it enough for the rest of the week...
Super Furry Stardust?

why does this remind me of bowie?

Funny: didn't know this song and thought by hearing it: hey, do I hear Walter Becker singing?
The image of de cd-cover reminds me of the cover of SD's "Can't buy a Thrill".

Nice song.

Damn. I can't get Jon Astley out of my head every time I hear this song. Maybe Jane's getting serious about her moped?

I picked up their Fuzzy Logic and Rings Around the World before my recent trip to Wales and really enjoyed.  They are very funny fellows with a huge following in Wales.  Flaming Lips meets Donovan with Beck-ish tendencies.

I woke up thinking of this song today, so this should be a good day. {#Good-vibes}
this song would be better if it were called "wolfman eyes", which is what i thought they were singing.

On first (through about fourth) listening I can't recommend this disc.  This song is most excellent, though, I think. The album is growing on me.  I guess you should buy it if you are from Wales but otherwise maybe hold off.  They have certainly tried some interesting stuff.  I'm referring to the music but the other goes without saying

I don't have a convertible but this seems like it would be a great CD to pop in the car stereo, put the top down and just cruise. A great summer CD.

very interesting album, my two favorites> Moped Eyes and The Very best of Neil Diamond {#Clap}

This reminds me of latter day Steely Dan by way of Prince.
Very reminiscent of Talking Heads. For me, that's not a good thing :(
