And the world is made of energy
And the world is electricity
And the world is made of energy
And there's a light inside of you
and there's a light inside of me
And the world is made of energy
And the world is synchronicity
And the world is made of energy
And there's a light inside of you
And there's a light inside of me
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright ah huh yeah
We're gonna see sunlight

Terribly disappointing.

This rates at 65% on Amazon reviews, so why do we average this out at 42%? It's gotta be a six, surely?

My god what an annoying woice...
What was the producer thinking?
Was the producer thinking?
Actually, I take that back. He/she was just all over the damn place, which fits with the song pretty well.

Happy, mindless brain candy. Sometimes we just gotta take some tunes for what they are. For all you disgruntled out there, hook up your hammock on the deck and let's have a margarita. Cheers!
I like your attitude. But I don't like this song.
this song reminds me
time for a potty break
what a terrible voice. turn it off!
Sounds like something on an Old Navy commercial.
That's not a good thing.
So we've learned people can sound like bagpipe.
i love all the classic stuff but i do wanna hear the new groups too - like apples in stereo -

That about does it I think.
Oh man, he's pimping this one for votes! Stop! I'll echo that there's nothing inherently wrong with this track except for the fact it's actually 14 seconds long and repeated ad nauseum.
Wow, what's up with all the hatin' on this song? It's a pop tune, with tambourines and a simple chord structure, funky sound effects. There are most certainly "worse" songs than this out there...
It's got a good beat, and I can dance to it, Bill. I give it a 6.
I just LOOOOOVE this song. It makes me want to stand up and sing aloud!! What more could you want!

Maybe "The Bird That You Can't See"? Coincidentally, that was one of the very first uploads I ever submitted. Nixed.
That's it! Thanks :)
I'm not quite sure why this has such a bad rating. I mean it's not going to make my iPod 'Favorite Tracks' smart playlist, but it doesn't make me want to reach into my brain and rip out whatever part of my cortex processes music. (Like say.... 'Coconut' by Harry Nilsson... now THAT'S pure evil.)

Therre's something about this that reminds me of The Archies.

Bill just said this is the lowest-rated song on RP. It's just that nothing stands out about it. It's completely forgettable to me.

Nothing but grating
Probably the worst song that has even graced RP.

As is this song! I just saw them perform this on Conan last night and I actually said out loud, "this son is annoying"
Maybe it had something to do with the fact that my wife and I were trying to soothe our 2-week old that wouldn't sleep and they sounded just like her.
Putting these guys after the Beatles is kind of mean to them, Bill :oP.
This sounds like a freakn advertisement jingle for coca-cola...

They sound heavily influenced by both the Beatles and Oasis.
Their parents probably played Beatles music and their big brothers/sisters played Oasis!
just super insanely horrendously annoying tripe.
The Apples In Stereo after the Beatles. Heh.
Gwyneth Paltrow's baby is singing already?
JK!

This song has a long life ahead in commercials.

I believe the song you are referring to is "If You Want to Wear a Hat." Like many of their songs, it's catchy, on the verge of irritating, and exceedingly trivial.
I couldn't find the lyrics anywhere online so I'll type them here:
If you wanna wear a hat
You'd better get one that looks better than that
Or on second thought the hat upon your head
Would look good with a feather instead
Then you need to ask a bird
Which is more complicated than you have heard
For the birdie, he will not co-operate
Unless you guarantee the going rate
So you need to get a job
For that you must stop dressing like a slob
As the suit that you are wearing, my friend
Makes me think that you are trying to offend
But a suit is what you need to wear
Get one that makes you look like a square
And if you want some visual relief
Change the color of your handkerchief
If you wanna wear a hat
But didn't know it was as difficult as that
Keep in mind what your brother-man said
Let the sunshine shine upon your head
If you wanna wear a hat, you didn't know it was as difficult as that... (repeated 4x)
I've heard of this band before. I think they sang a tune about a bird a few years back... must investigate.

I agree with both. Musically solid, lyrically banal.
Jeepers, with due respect I kinda thought it was pretty good. "7".
It's not that bad... it's a fun tune.
Blech! but...thanks Bill for bringing all styles to the show.
