the violins collide
into a rabbit chase a lost try
lay easy now in warmer hours
and steal back the century
the open window lets it in
sunday noises scratch you awake
our mice and skulls old wives
projected on the black sand
thin my blood california
if we ever get to home
plant myself among the weeds
and pray the violins collide
into a rabbit chase of careful words
plant you deep down in the clay
into a rabbit chase a lost try
lay easy now in warmer hours
and steal back the century
the open window lets it in
sunday noises scratch you awake
our mice and skulls old wives
projected on the black sand
thin my blood california
if we ever get to home
plant myself among the weeds
and pray the violins collide
into a rabbit chase of careful words
plant you deep down in the clay

I like this - it has a great sort of bossa-nova beat, and it blends well with the sound of the birds singing outside my window. (Gee - I musta found another brain cell somewhere...)
Isn't this what Bill uses when he jumps in here to make announcements?

Now, that 'Artist Website' link takes you to a place selling children's educational equipment:
"Califone introduces Earpad Covers for its Classroom Headphones"
Maybe they're listening to Califone!
LOL!!!

Uh....that 'Artist Website' link takes you to a place selling podiums.
I bet their webmaster is confused as hell, wondering why they're getting so much traffic from some internet radio website.

this is only boooooooooring !
yes , if you want to fall asleep on a sunday afternoon this might be your song !
for all others , and for people who want to stay alive keep your hands off !
The very first chords made me think of Traffic, but I have to withdraw. Nothin to do, and not only because of the guy's voice, far from resembling Steve Winwood's.

guess google wasn't that lucky that go eh?
Why the assumption that just because a song resembles another one, its somehow problematic?
This tune is a very nice RP debut.

Thanks element1 - I had that same vague feeling on the opening chords - you just articulated it precisely.
I bought this for some reason which still isn't apparent to me, but I really like it!
Not bad. I bet I like it ever more the next time. 7
