Lindsey Buckingham — Trouble
I should be saying goodnight
I really shouldn't stay anymore
It's been so long since I held you
Forgotten what love is for
I should run on the double
(I think I'm in) I think I'm in trouble
(I think I'm in) Trouble
(I think I'm in)(Yes) I think I'm in trouble
Come to me darling and hold me
Let your honey keep you warm
Been so long since I held you
Forgotten what love is for
I should run on the double
(I think I'm in) I think I'm in trouble
(I think I'm in) Trouble
(I think I'm in)(Yes) I think I'm in trouble
(I think I'm in) I think I'm in trouble
I should run on the double
(I think I'm in) I think I'm in trouble
(I think I'm in) Trouble
(I think I'm in) I think I'm in trouble
(I think I'm in) I think I'm in trouble
I really shouldn't stay anymore
It's been so long since I held you
Forgotten what love is for
I should run on the double
(I think I'm in) I think I'm in trouble

This track is in trouble. It stops halfway through!
Sorry, I just can't get over the first ooh-a-bee-a-bow with the drumbeat as that sounds exactly like Vic Reeves impersonation of a pub singer from the absurdist 'quiz show' Shooting Stars. Maybe that's where Vic got it from? Anyway, I just couldn't take the rest of this cheese seriously after that. It's a shame there's not a rating for 'Ludicrous'
(Apologies to non-UK listeners for the culturally-specific reference. If you get a chance to watch Shooting Stars, perhaps on the watch again facility on BBC2, give it a go - truly British bonkers absurdism and idiosyncrasy. Try this link. )

I remember when I bought this album and played "Trouble" for Mom. She loved it so much she actually let me play it loud, with no complaints. Good times, those...
Wow - I'm suddenly flashbacked to high school —- haven't heard this one in ages! Thanks!
Also haven't heard this in years, but remember it well enough to know it's a little bland.

this song is soooooo acceptable to rhe ears........Peace y'all!
I just love those dreamy vocals, Lindsey's dulcimer-like cascading guitar work, and, oh, just everything about this! You can hear touches of "Sara," but this song is so much his own... I should run... on the double... I think I'm in heaven...
Thought I recognized something from the fringes of my younger days...
Thanks always for the surprise, Bill. ;-)
