Yeah, the jury's still out on this one (and it's not looking good), but I really dig "Midnight".
make it stop please!

I just can't get into this, perhaps it's the writing.
If you are feeling this a little bit, and you don't mind a little more over-the-top arrangements and better songwriting, check out Rufus Wainwright. His last three albums have been excellent.
They played this the other night complete with a string quartet..... beautiful. Jay's voice is this good live...
First first -time '8' I have given anyone. I like JUMP.... like buttah!
Almost seems out of tune.

Too funny, Richard!
I almost liked the first 30 seconds of it, but then there was nothing there ---> save me from stirring string sections in pop music.:nodhead:
We'll be generous and give it a 3.

Really nice tune.
I agree very similar to Ringo. Evan Bivins, the Jump drummer, does a tremendously good job at setting the timbre, tone and rythm of a song. His style is not to blow you away but to simply be a great band member. I think he pulls it off nicely.

I've just heard this song for the second time now and it wasn't nearly as bad as the first time. That's a good sign. So many factors come into play when listening to music like time of day, weather, how much sleep and/or coffee I've had.
Glad tidings to you

not quite that bad, but I did just lower my rating. This song never goes anywhere, and I know Jump can do better.

Can't say why exactly but I just do.
yeah, he's an amazing singer... even more amazing live. I talked to one of the technical guys doing equipment for one of JLCs concerts, and they said they actually had to turn the volume down on his microphone because his voice gets loud enough to bust the speakers. now that's just... wow.
wow that song grates on my nerves

Nice!
Why I listen to R.P. # 95!
This band is one of many RP pearls!

I feel the same way. There is something hypnotically rhythmic in his style of singing.... his lack of enunciation makes his voice sound like another instrument. Plus he just has a very pleasant sounding voice as well....

This sounds like the singer for Jump Little Children.
Maybe he just truncated the band name
:nodhead:
the_jake: yeah. it's JLC, they just shortened the name.
anyway. i _LOVE_ these people! i want to actually purchase every one of their albums, because they're amazing. i usually don't buy music any more, but i'd do it for these guys. i'm in love with this guy's voice. it brings shivers to my spine.

A little surfin' and I found the answer. Yes it is.
Not sure about this one, although it's great to hear some new music in the playlist! Thank goodness BillG is back!
I'll give it a 5....
