Got this song pushing the PSD button.  It says it hasn't been played since 2011.

Five years later .................
nearly the same circumstance
playing My Favorites this time.
How did this make it on here?

Sounds a bit like Ian Brown
I will second that.  I will second that.

Not that that's bad...just an aural observation.

And I'm 9 years old again, grooving to the AM band on transistor radio.
perfect.
Love this track. 8 from 10.

I saw them in DC about 10 years ago as Jump Little Children. They were punky/outlandish - in appearance too, and this song as Jump is more poppy.

Basically, prior to putting out this CD, they were very close to calling it quits. They decided to give it one more try, and kind of re-invented themselves, in a way. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to keep them together. Luckily, though, most of them are still doing music (just not together that often), although Johnny still plays at most of Jay's shows now in support of his new CD (which is great, by the way).
I'm likin' this! 7
I'll open with a 7. Nice tune.
What a great tune ... very clean sound... nice choice
Bad RP! Made me cut a work phone call short so I could listen to one of my favourite songs!
Nice little ditty to play along with on bass. Room to stretch out.

They're just like born again Christians. Their form of thought/philosophy/lunacy is the best and if you don't agree with them and jump on their ship, then you're damned to eternal hell! HaHaHaHa

JUMP is on their last tour for awhile. Playing at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro Friday Sept 23. And this is where I first heard them.
Jump has a new EP out this month "Between the Glow and the Light" with new B-sides and old stuff and a remix of a song from "Between the Dim and the Dark." Currently only available on their site and and at shows, you need to get a copy NOW. (click here) Blissful.
I really like the "flat out" way this guy sings.
I like it too. Also. As well.
I really think you need to hear this whole album to get a good idea of what these folks are capable of. To do that, click this link. (click here) Then, come back here to Radio Paradise and either buy this album, or Magazine or Vertigo, their other albums, or buy several tunes individually from the iTunes link here on Radio Paradise. Seeing them live is usually what grabs people for life. If you want to see them live and change your life in the Spring of 2005, click this link for extensive tour dates. (click here)
After hearing it a few times I had to drop my rating from 5 to 4 It doesn't grow on me.

Saw them this past Friday night..... what an incredible show! If you get a chance to see them, do yourself a favor and GO!
Does this remind anyone else of the Steve Miller Band?
Let's see, if you jump between the dim and the dark, you should end up either in the twilight, the overcast, or the nebulous. Sounds about right, but bring a flashlight.

you can also try to go to www.shoutcast.com, there are several radiostations that you can connect to. Radioparadise is normally the 7th or so...

Well, there's a link at the top of the page that says 'Listen' - that lets you listen to Radio Paradise and whatever is playing at the moment. There's no way to listen to songs on demand here. If you want to hear all of the songs from Jump's latest album, including this one, go to (click here) and click on the music link and then the music player link. You can listen to all the songs in streaming audio. Good luck.

The first time I listened through the CD, I had a similar reaction. But after several listens, I realized that both this song and the entire CD are pretty amazing. Sometime less is definitely more....

Their last two discs have been the best $30 I've spent on music in the last 3 years. Buy them... and like the girl says, see them live. Jay Clifford is a Rock Star. When is the last time you saw one of those?
30 bucks!?! Jeez, dude, have you heard about Napster? Metallica loves it!!
Can't add much that hasn't already been said. They are a great band regardless of what they want to call themselves at the moment. If you get a chance to see them live, do so.
Bill-- nice follow on from Vertigo Deluxe... I assume because Jump's last disc was called Vertigo?
Nice voice, good song have heard of this band before when they were J, LC

Awesome! I'm so glad J,LC's -- sorry, Jump's -- new album is getting some RP play. Thanks, y'all! And also: If you have the chance to catch Jump live, DO! They put on a most amazing show.

Discussion of the Name Change From the horse's mouth - the horse being Matt Bivins of Jump. ------- So we made some decisions. First, we thought that a name change was fitting for this "new" band. Well, maybe not a change. We had been trying to shorten "jump, little children" for a few years, and "JLC" wasn't really catching on. So "Jump"...our official nickname by fans anyway, was what we wanted to go by. Just like the people that use "Matt" instead of "Matthew", or call Ward "Wardie" instead of "James Edward Williams the Third". Something familiar but different at the same time. Our full name was beginning to have a negative connotation in our minds, due to all the bad luck. Going by our nickname is kind of like getting your hair cut really short after you break up with a long term boyfriend. It gives us a new lease on life. And since most of you have been calling us "Jump" anyway, we feel like we're really just following the path of least resistance. We know that this might be confusing at first. You might not like it. But that's OK. Just support us, and try to understand why we made this decision. You have our permission to always think of us as "jump, little children", if that is what you want. But we're just going by "Jump", if that's cool. ------- Love this song? You can stream the entire new album here (click here) as well as read more about it and other projects of the band this summer. Be sure to buy a copy through Radio Paradise's link to Amazon listed on this page. Benefit two good causes at once.
Dead on!! There does not appear to be a single dud on the entire CD!! My new favorite band--Thanks RP!!! Thanks for the stream advice!
Great band. Great song. I'd love to hear more from this album....actually I'd love to hear more of Jump on RP. :D
Currenly my favorite band. They are amazing and put on a great show. My teenage daughters love them also and we go to all their shows together. Great music is timeless and this band produces it. Their other albums are great also. I haven't heard stuff this good since the Beatles. If this doesn't prove what bozo's these big label execs are nothing does.
great song. great band. sad name change, but i can deal with that.
Just bought the CD and it is truly amazing! These guys NEVER fail to entertain and write some of the more engaging and beautiful music being released today. Check out their website and read the crap they have been through and how they have survived.... thanks for not giving up guys!!!!!

It is a curious change. I would think you would have a tough time trademarking the name Jump.
Wow..... I knew they had a new CD out, but was unaware of the name change. Not sure why they did that..... anyone know? Great song!

I already loved Jump, Little Children prior to getting this album a few weeks ago. Oh. My. GOD. These guys should be knighted, deified and given the keys to every city in America and several other music-loving nations. This album is AMAZING. Great pick!
