It's a great country ... apart from trying to buy alcohol.  My partner and I ended up walking round Stockholm looking for a Systembolaget, though I suppose we saw lots of the city that way!
please put this back in rotation? or add to the rock mix? i havent heard it in about 4 months.

Nice soft ending. First time hearing.

Love a bit of Kent, even though I have no idea what they're singing about

Music Nonstop
I needed a hundredth of a second
Now that I have made my decision, I am calm
Visions in my head when you laugh
I have found something beautiful,
the friend, do you see what I see?
I am almost like you

And you are like me when you dance
Have never met anyone like you
You are like me when we dance
Music nonstop till the end

I went to get me some sun light
and I moved my desk and my chair
to the garage underneath our house
When I close my eyes, I see the light
I am almost like you

And you are like me when you dance
Have never met anyone like you
You are like me when we dance
Music nonstop till the end

So it took me a hundredth of a second
I have travelled back in time, become young
Visions in my head when you laugh
I have found something beautiful,
the friend, do you see what I see?
I am almost like you

And you are like me when you dance
Have never met anyone like you
You are like me when we dance
Music nonstop till the end

And you are like me when you dance
Have never met anyone like you
You are like me when we dance
Music nonstop till the end
Thank you for this!!! It makes it so much better for me!!

Not that I don't adore all those precious Swedish bands, but I'm stuck in this weird RP player bug loop that keeps this page/song info in my face every time I click to the latest top song in the player history listings. Will blame Bill Gates products and call it... a bug.
Meh. Alexa skip this song. There's no one named Magnus in this band. Ain't very Swedish.
My music gets turned way up every time this comes on!
And I prefer the Swedish version, to the English one.

So thank you for that.

I think the lyrics of the English version of this song are a quite straightforward translation, but you might want to check this with the nearest Swede.

We seem to be hearing a lot more Kent on RP of late, which is a good thing. I have tried to get some more stuff on the playlist (both recently and some time ago) but always denied! 747 stayed on the LRC for quite some time and got a good reaction but obviously didn't quite cut it..! It was the English version - maybe someone wants to try the original?! :)
This rocks nicely

Sigur Ros?     More like Abba, which I happen to like, and I happen to be a bigger Viking than you are so no negative comments. ;-)   Great party tune.  This one just rocks out.

Every time I hear this (only on RP!) I am struck by how this thing ROCKS in more than the usual dimensions!  I love it, and I feel grateful to RP forever!

This song has two things I love in a good rock song: a beat you can dance to and an androgynous sounding lead singer.

You definitely should! I recommend you start with this one, "Hagnesta Hill". It's a complete masterpeice and my personal favorite. Can be found in english although the lyrical vividness doesn't come anywhere near the swedish one - but I guess it's better to understand the words than to not at all.
Or maybe I changed my mind, go with the swedish version - even though you can't understand the lyrics the mere sound of the swedish words complement the instruments so much better than the english version.

When you've fell in love with Hagnesta, check out "Du & jag döden", "Vapen & ammunition" and also the first CD on "B-sidor 95-00". They are all awesome records.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the tip. Well worth checking out. I'll go for the Swedish-language original version, for the reasons you state - a language has its own sound and rhythms which often don't 'translate' well. For instance, I'm a big fan of Gaelic-language music, and the sound of the language and of the music are organically linked - English 'translations' would be, at best, clunky.

Thanks again to RP for bringing so many brill Scandinavian artists to our attention. Truly an unmined (for English speakers) but rich vein of culture.
