Away beyond the blue
One star belongs to you

And every breath I take
I'm closer to that place

Yeah, baby
I'm gonna meet you there
On the outskirts of the sky
Yeah, baby
I'm gonna meet you there
And we will fly

Away beyond the blue
One star belongs to you

This life is but a dream
Go gently down the stream...

Is nind se, Prabhu, kya mujheuthaoge?
(From this steep, Lord will you wake me?
Is swapan se, Prabhu, kya mujhe jagoge?
From this dream, Lord will you wake me?
Tum hi mai dubu, Turn hi mai uthu,
In thee I dive, in thee I rise,
Tere sagar me, Tum hi me
In thy sea, in Thee.)
Tere sagar me, Tum hi me

Could mesh well with a Paul Simon follow-up... something off Rhythm of the Saints maybe....
I wholeheartedly agree. And her voice brings me to some paradise-like state. Yowzaa. I was just thinking I'd like to meet her and Neil Finn in Heaven.

It certainly has Indian influences...

Definitely has a JW sound.
And I thought it was Joni Mitchell...
I like Beth Nielsen Chapman -I've been buying her albums for a decade. Her music is chick music, though.
Lovely voice
Any relation to Mary Nielsen Chapman Carpenter? (flame away)
I hear a little Joni Mitchell similarity... "coming in from the cold" song

Me too - thought for a moment it was JW (whose voice I adore). Pretty all the same

What great music to sit by working in the sunshine and awake slowly.
Okay, thanks.

Could you repeat that?

On this fluff-flick soundtrack.
Reminded me of Baez...

I totally agree. I clicked on the site to see if it was a new JW cd.

This is a really good song - but I really, really love Patty Griffin/Emmylou Harris's version.
Wow! Those two have a version of this?? On what CD? We sang this song at a family memorial service--it's very powerful in that respect.

Me three... I'm not totally sure I like this person's voice...it's a bit too warbly for my taste...

The title track of this album is really moving--though it's probably a little slow and folky to get uploaded successfully here--and I like some of the rest of the tracks, including this one. Pretty good songwriter.
