You walked in to the room
I just had to laugh
The face you wore was cool
You were a photograph
When it's all too late
It's all too late

I did not have the time
I did not have the nerve
To ask you how you feel
Is this what you deserve
When it's all too late
It's all too late

Change
You can change
Change
You can change

And something on your mind
Became a point of view
I lost your honesty
You lost the life in you
When it's all too late
It's all too late
We walk and talk in time
I walk and talk in two
Where does the end of me
Become the start of you
When it's all too late
It's all too late

Change
You can change
Change
You can change

What has happened to
The friend that I once knew
Has he gone away

It's all too late, It's all too late
Change

Change
You can change
Change
You can change

This album stood out at the time, but this song doesn't really hold up as well as "Mad World" and "Pale Shelter."  Please consider giving a spin of "Pale Shelter" while I mention it.
Don't like the voice, don't like the song, don't like the arrangement.
Some songs sound dated but in a good way--nostalgic, I suppose. This one just sounds dated.
Not their best work. And poorly mixed.
Its a shame they never remastered or remixed this album, I have it on CD and the overall quality sucks, it\'s really \"mid\" sounding like your head\'s in a box ...shame, because it features some of my favourite songs of all time, \"Start of the Breakdown\" is such an awesome song both lyrically and structurally imho...what a way to end an album
Evocative ;)
great song, great times
Aargh. Never got into this plastic, technogoofy 80s crud.
