Duran Duran — Ordinary World (Acoustic)
Came in from a rainy Thursday on the avenue
Thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV and the radio
Still, I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say
Where is the life that I recognize?
Gone away
But I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world,
Somehow I have to find
And, as I try to make my way to the ordinary world,
I will learn to survive
Passion or coincidence once prompted you to say
"Pride will tear us both apart"
Well, now, pride's gone out the window cross the rooftops, run away,
Left me in the vacuum of my heart
What is happening to me?
Crazy, some'd say,
Where is my friend when I need you most?
Gone away
But, I won't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world,
Somehow I have to find
And as I try to make my way, to the ordinary world
I will learn to survive
Papers in the roadside tell of suffering and greed
Here today, forgot tomorrow
Ooh, here besides the news of holy war and holy need
Ours is just a little sorrowed talk
(Just blown away...)
And I don't cry for yesterday, there's an ordinary world,
Somehow I have to find
And, as I try to make my way to the ordinary world,
I will learn to survive
Every world, is my world (I will learn to survive)
Any world, is my world (I will learn to survive)
Any world, is my world
Every world is my world
Thought I heard you talking softly
I turned on the lights, the TV and the radio
Still, I can't escape the ghost of you
What has happened to it all?
Crazy, some'd say

Listen to the Album "All You Need Is Now". Who would have thought this... It's fantastic!
I have to agree that Duran Duran's "Palomino" is a tremendous song that has the Radio Paradise vibe. Tom
i dunno, there\'s something about Duran Duran I just love, even though they neither sing (as the end of this song painfully shows) nor play all that well. Cheese factor counts for something as well...
One of their best songs, I think, is \"Palomino\" - don\'t remember which album it\'s off of - it didn\'t get a lot of airplay at the time, but man it is worth checking out. :D
You guys ever have one of those days when you get a song in your head for no reason and you really want to hear it, and maybe you don't even know who sings it. I can't tell you why but that just happened today with this tune. And I haven't heard any more Duran than the average person who is indifferent towards them.
I even searched for it on Grokster as "don't cry for yesterday" What a riot. And totally sweet at the same time. Radio Paradise. It works every time.

This came out in the '90's and I think Duran Duran went past the bubble gum on this one and was actually inspired...

Umm... because it's utter dreck?
Haven\'t really been much of a Duran Duran fan through the years, but I\'ve always liked this song, and this version is nice. Kudos to the uploader and to Bill & Co.
This is some great Double-D.
While their harmonies may be overly ambitious, I didn't hear anything out of tune... on this track.

The Spankers are great! They play the most interesting things (washboard, saw, etc.) I used to go to Sunday brunch at La Zona Rosa where they would perform gospel music. They would pass their hats around like a collection plate. It was like church, with bloody mary's.

Maybe because they sing completely out of tune? It's terrible

This is the first Duran Duran song that I have ever heard that I liked. Thanks for uploading it

Good to hear my upload
Actually it\'s not on the regular album but on the japan import.
